Enjoyed my time in Medora, ND. Such a wonderful western town with a lot of history. When visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park take time to explore downtown Medora. A special shout out to Marcia at Teddy’s Bear gift shopwho took our visit to the next level!

Plenty of evidence of bison but none to be seen.

Go early in the morning to avoid the summer heat and you’ll also have the trail to yourself!

When I was a kid my dad took our family to Grand Teton National Park. I remember walking up the stairs at the Grand Teton Lodge and seeing the Grand Teton Range from the windows, it was an unforgettable experience! Last week I had the pleasure of returning to that same place! It brought me back to my childhood. I’ll never forget this place! Dad, thanks for taking us there and Happy Fathers Day!!!

Our travels took us to Escalante via Scenic Byway 12 from Capitol Reef. This is such a beautiful drive that takes you through Dixie National Forest. We had driven this in 2016 during our first trip to The Mighty Five. This time we were pulling a 6,000 lb trailer. I was starting to have flashbacks as we climbed to an elevation of 9,592 feet.

I do not know why Capitol Reef National Park keeps eluding me. I first drove through this National Park in 2016 during a ten-day family trip to The Mighty Five. When my wife and I were planning our return trip to Utah, I was determined to make this stop an overnight stay.
