Sri Lanka - a country I had never considered visiting but after reading an article about Ethical Escape Sri Lanka, I was intrigued and very excited to pack my bags and head away for an adventure. Travelling solo, I never felt unsafe and the gracious hospitable local family hosts made sure I was comfortable and well looked after in their beautiful villa. The various activities included in the package were perfect to give an overview of the country and ensure an immersive cultural experience. A visit to the tea plantation, tuk tuk 🛺 rides, readily available for a small cost, and time to rejuvenate with a yoga class and a massage were all part of the adventure. One of highlights was a visit to the elephant safari to view the elephants and other wildlife in their natural habitat : beautiful beaches, luscious jungle, mountains and waterfalls abound. The people were super friendly and helpful wherever I travelled. The food was delicious and fresh, with many vegan and vegetarian options. I was spoilt for choice. I only scratched the surface of this amazing country and would highly recommend an Ethical Escape adventure to any traveller looking for an affordable, relaxing, cultural experience.
