Last Christmas Markets post (for a while 😂)! I wanted to share some delicious bites from the ship 😋 Every night we were offered a four course menu plus appetisers - so much deliciousness!

There’s so much to love about the Christmas markets in Europe 🎄 One of my favorites is the different mug at each market - you pay a deposit for them and you can either turn them in at the end of the evening and get your deposit back or keep them - so no waste! Each market has Glühwein - a German mulled wine - plus hot cocoa and Kinderpunsch, a non-alcoholic cider 😋

Fun spots on the AmaPrima ⚓️
♥️ The lounge - a great spot to read a good book and to gather nightly for our “Sip and Sail” (complimentary cocktails and mocktails 🍹), music and trivia!
♥️ Look at the wall outside our stateroom! We went through soooo many locks!
♥️ We had a surprise visit from Santa 🎅🏻

Chef’s Table ♥️ AmaWaterways offers this complimentary to their guests but you must have a reservation and the seating is limited. Our very best meal on the ship! We scheduled it for our last night, which I highly recommend 😉

Freiburg 🇩🇪 Our last day and the sweetest little town ♥️ The cathedral, the market square and, of course, the Christmas Market 🎄 This may have been our most delicious day 😋

Strasbourg Christmas Market ♥️ Peeps, I cannot tell you how much good food and drinks we’ve had 😋 Today I enjoyed the best hot chocolate of my entire LIFE! It was basically a melted, amazing chocolate bar. Heaven.

Strasbourg 🇫🇷 The Petite France district - a historic area located on the Grande Île, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site ♥️ Such a gorgeous city! Fun fact - the stork is protected here! Our guide told us that, because storks bring babies, if you want one, you put sugar on your windowsill. If you want a girl, you put two sugar cubes on the windowsill because they’re sweeter 🩷

Cologne 🇩🇪 Our first stop after Amsterdam. The gorgeous cathedral - photos don’t do it justice. And three Christmas markets complete with Glühwein, a flaming Glühwein and delicious snacks 😋

I love the architecture in Amsterdam ♥️ Officially 750 years old this year, they are a testament to ingenuity! Built on a marsh and known as “the Venice of the North” because of the large number of canals, it’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And one of the best ways to see it is on a canal boat tour!
