One of the openings I’m most excited about this year is this adults-only retreat overlooking the Teton Mountain Range and Snake River Valley, which opened on August 1.

With just 39 rooms—including 13 suites—spread across four acres, it offers a true haven in the wilderness. Each suite has its own balcony, so you might spot local wildlife like moose and mule deer right from your room. And it’s situated five miles from the historic Jackson Town Square and ~60 miles from Yellowstone National Park, providing a great mix of adventure. When you’re ready to relax, enjoy the heated indoor pool and cozy spa.

As Día de los Mu***os celebrations begin, I’m reminiscing about my time in Mexico last year when I joined in the festivities. Getting to witness how life and legacy are joyfully honored in such a vibrant way can only be experienced in Mexico and a select few other countries. The streets fill with music, art, delicious food, and heartfelt traditions that pay tribute to loved ones.

I’m off to Namibia 🇳🇦 ! With its untamed natural beauty, this destination has been at the top of my bucket list for quite some time. During my visit, I’ll be exploring three distinct regions of the country, each offering its own unique climate, breathtaking landscapes, and opportunities to connect with indigenous cultures.

As I gear up for my journey, here are a few facts about the country to spark your interest before I inundate your feed with countless photos 😀

▪️The First Desert: Namibia is home to the world’s oldest desert, the Namib Desert
▪️Desert-Adapted Wildlife: Namibia is home to unique species such as desert-adapted elephants, lions, and rhinos, which have evolved to thrive in the arid landscapes
▪️Remarkable Biodiversity: Despite its harsh conditions, Namibia boasts incredible biodiversity, with over 4,000 plant species, including the iconic quiver tree and Welwitschia mirabilis, one of the oldest living plants on Earth
▪️Conservation Success: Namibia’s conservation efforts have led to the recovery of the black rhino population from near extinction in the 1980s to over 2,000 today
▪️Protecting the Land: 43% of the land is protected through national parks, game reserves, and other conservation efforts, safeguarding the country’s habitats and heritage
