In 2025, we’re getting out of the group chat! 🔥

It’s time to stop the constant “we need to plan a trip” and start booking flights! ✈️

Here are 5 ways you and your crew can go from group chat to packing your bags for your next getaway:

✨1. Appoint a group leader✨

- You are going to need someone to keep everyone organized while on the trip. This is someone who doesn’t mind staying organized, sending reminders, and communicating with every member of your group.

✨2. Set a firm date (and stick to it!) ✨

-Narrow down a few dates, and have the group vote on the most suitable one. Once a date is selected, get it on everyone’s calendars- right then and there!

✨3. Agree on a Budget

- Planning a group trip can become challenging if there isn’t clarity about what everyone is willing to spend. From flights to accommodation to tours and dining out, having a clear budget in place will prevent chaos later on.

✨4. Create Milestones and Check-Ins

-Schedule regular check-ins leading up to your trip. If something is delayed, this gives the group an opportunity to address it and adjust the schedule if needed. Plus it keeps everyone engaged and excited about your upcoming trip!

✨5. Suggest a “Mini” Vacation to Start

-If your group seems hesitant about a full-on vacation, suggest a smaller getaway to get everyone started. A weekend trip, road trip, or short staycation could break the ice and help the group see how easy and fun it is to travel together!

After 2 days in Tulum, we headed to Cancun to spend another 2 days at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Cancun!

Here are my highlights!

1. This property speaks luxury from entry. I was extremely fascinated by the combination of cultural decor and luxury throughout the entire property.

2. The indoor and outdoor restaurants with signature, delicious cuisine options were always fresh and amazing! My favorite was dining at the Malpeque!

3. The spa was incredible! We experienced more hydrotherapy and a Swedish massage.

4. This property holds plenty of meeting space for groups to host an event.

5. The rooms are breathtaking! Spacious and chic, balconies with private tub and shower, overlooking the ocean!

The Waldorf is perfect for those curious travelers, who appreciate 5-star, top tier services. Plus, if plush rooms & suites, with ocean view showers & private soaking tubs from your balcony is your vibe, then you certainly won’t be disappointed!

Recently, I headed to Cancun for an amazing opportunity! Along with a few other Virtuoso advisors, I took a deep dive into two Virtuoso properties in Cancun & the Riviera Maya area of Tulum! My first stop was the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya!

Here are my highlights!

1. The open concept of the property-provides a serene and relaxed atmosphere. I instantly fell in love with its natural, jungle aesthetics & luxury vibes.

2. All inclusive dining option for guests to enjoy the 11 restaurants & bars on site. From Asian to Mexican cuisine-the food is top tier! My favorite was the breakfast buffet at Arobolea and Mediterranean cuisine at the Maraeta!

3. Plenty of outdoor seating throughout the property, giving guests a relaxed space to overlook the pools and beaches.

4. Hydrotherapy at the Conrad Spa is an absolute must! You won’t regret it!

The Conrad Tulum is the perfect place for an uninterrupted getaway! Ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway, friends seeking an elevated, relaxed vacation to reset or retreat, and families looking to avoid the busyness of an all-inclusive with amenities for everyone to enjoy!

Serious question...

Why do group vacations never make it out of the group chat? You have the destination, dates of travel, activities planned, and then months later you find yourself saying, "what happened to our trip"?

There is not a particular reason. However, in my experience, the primary reason is usually lack of time. In our chaotic world, many just don't have the time to organize and plan a successful group vacation. A few other reasons I've experienced are:

1. Difficulty making final decisions (i.e. too many opinions)
2. Lack of organization and follow through on plans discussed
3. Various budgets
4. Conflicting schedules
5. It becomes too overwhelming to plan

The good news is, planning a successful group vacation doesn't have to be difficult. As a full-service travel company, I partner with group travelers to assist in alleviating those common barriers.

The truth is…

Vacations are an investment. 💸 Your investment! Travel insurance helps bring that extra peace of mind; knowing that you are covered before, during, and after your trip. Here are 3 reasons why I strongly recommend travel insurance:

Reason #1: Travel insurance helps protect your investment in the event your trip is interrupted due to unforeseen circumstances (sudden emergencies, evacuation, accidental death, natural disasters, illness, etc.).

Reason #2: If you need medical attention during your vacation, your medical insurance may not cover you when traveling outside the U.S. Some countries may even require full payment of your medical expenses before departure.
