Starting January 8, 2025, Canadian travelers will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to visit or transit through the U.K. The ETA costs £10, valid for two years or until your passport expires. This requirement applies to all travelers, including children. The easiest way to apply is through the UK ETA app, with most applications processed within three working days.

What’s your travel style?

The reason why I ask is that this is such an important piece of information for a travel advisor.

Do you like adventure and lots of things to do all day? Or do you like a slow pace where you can focus on and immerse yourself in one thing? Do you like luxury accommodations or are you willing to prioritize and spend on other aspects of the trip?

I, for example, am the type of traveler who likes adventure but I want to decompress at the end of the day with relaxation, I always prioritize comfortable accommodations so that I'll be rested for the next adventure!

And that’s because visiting new places has helped me discover just how much I value new adventures.

A piece of advice as you think about what you truly want your travels to be like this year? Take a minute to make a list of what’s truly important to you when you travel

This will help you to get clear about which trips you want to prioritize this year, and which ones maybe aren’t as important or you may not truly want on your travel wish list at all.

And this also helps me as I collaborate with you to make sure your travels are spot on for your getaway.

Whether you’re road-tripping through Canada this fall or exploring the Côte d‘Azur, here are my top tips for making the most of Google Maps when you travel 🔎

➡️ Save Offline Maps: Before you go, download maps for your destination by tapping the location, choosing "Download," and voilà! You can now navigate without the internet.

➡️ Explore with Street View: Here‘s a cool trick! Drop the adorable yellow peg man on the map and virtually stroll through the streets. It‘s like being there already. Do this around your hotel to get familiar with nearby places.

➡️ Discover Nearby Places: This is one of my favorites! Use the "Explore" feature to find attractions, restaurants, bars, parks, you name it, all in your vicinity. It‘s like having a local guide right in your pocket!
