Thursday Hotel Spotlight!

Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter are moderate level sister resorts. They are located near Disney Springs. The hotels are quite different but both are worth checking out for your next vacay. These resorts share amenities. You can also take a boat to Disney Springs to access even more great dining and shopping options

Riverside-
Pros:
🍴Lots of dining options
☮️Peaceful, beautiful scenery and theming
👙Great pool

Cons:
🚶‍♂️It’s big! Multiple bus stops, lots of walking
🛗Some parts of the hotel do not have elevator access

French Quarter

Pros:
🚶‍♀️Size! Very easy to get around
🍩Beignets…YUM
🎤Night life! S**t Cat Cafe offers great live entertainment

Cons:
🍴Less restaurant options and no sit down offerings

Whichever resort you choose, you can enjoy as fantastic New Orleans style stay.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning to Magic Kingdom Park this fall! 🎃👻

Taking place on 38 select nights Aug. 11 through Nov. 1, 2023, this special event haunts Magic Kingdom Park after normal park operating hours from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party can be purchased beginning May 2 and guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can begin purchasing tickets as early as April 27.

The event dates are:
August: 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29
September: 1, 4, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29
October: 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29, 31
November: 1

Resort Spotlight Thursday! This weeks resort is Art of Animation. This super fun resort is a value resort located on the Skyliner!

Pros:
🤑Price! This hotel is budget friendly.

🚡Transportation! AoA is located on the Skyliner. It provides direct transportation to Hollywood Studios and Epcot and is a great reprieve from the busses.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family suites! These suites offer additional space for parties of up to 6. These suites are an additional cost.

🧜‍♀️🦁🚘🐠 Theming! If you are looking for larger than life characters for Disney lovers, this is the resort for you. 4 area are themed around Little Mermaid, Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo. Don’t forget about the Big Blue Pool, the largest feature pool in Disney World

Cons:
🍽️Food. The only food choices available are at the food court.

👣 The resort is huge! It can require a lot of walking to and from the busses, Skyliner, pool, etc.

Overall, this resort provides a fantastic option for those wanting to truly experience the Disney magic at a more budget friendly price point.

TRON Lightcycle/Run is almost here!! The long awaited addition to Magic Kingdom opens tomorrow. Hop on this roller coaster to fly through a world with no horizon. This is a race of survival!

You will be able to board TRON by joining the virtual queue at 7am or 1pm or purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane.

I can’t wait to ride this!

Resort Spotlight Thursday!

Animal Kingdom Lodge is an exquisite deluxe level resort located in the Animal Kingdom area.

Pros:
✨Beautiful! This hotel is gorgeous with amazing theming, especially the lobby in Jambo House

🦒Animals! Book a savannah view room and wake up to giraffes, flamingos, rhinos, and elephants. There are also plenty of viewing areas around the hotel to see the animals

🍽️ The food is among the best on property! Jiko, Boma, and Sanaa are amazing Africa style restaurants for adventurous and picky eaters alike.

Cons:
Transportation. The only mode of transportation to the parks is busses and the rides can be a bit long.

Resort Spotlight Thursday!

This weeks focus is Coronado Springs. This is the hotel I’ve stayed in most recently and absolutely LOVED it!

Coronado Springs is a moderate hotel in the Animal Kingdom area. It consists of the Gran Destino Tower as well as 3 “neighborhoods.”

Pros:
Gran Destino Tower-this part of the hotel is gorgeous! It is luxurious and modern. Feels like you are staying in a deluxe resort but at a moderate cost.

Pool-such a fun feature pool! The Dig Site has a great water slide, pool bar, and other games for all to enjoy. There are also 3 quiet pools.

Food-This resort has great restaurants. From a casual sports bar to an outdoor lakefront restaurant to a fancy, feels like signature dining spot, there is something for everyone!

Cons:
Transportation-like most moderate hotels, the resort uses only busses and the bus loop can be long.

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! 🍀

Restaurant review! Topolino’s Terrace (definitely not Irish 🤪) located in Disney’s Riviera Resort is our favorite character breakfast. Meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their best artsy outfits. The menu is prix fixe and the food is DELICIOUS. After breakfast, hop on the Skyliner and spend the rest of your day in EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.

Todays featured resort is Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. This hotel is a deluxe resort in the Epcot area.

Pros:
Transportation! Walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. If you want to give your feet a break, take a relaxing boat ride or hop on the Skyliner.

The boardwalk! Lots of shops and fun nightly entertainment.

Dining! So many great dining options including quick bites and sit down meals. A brand new restaurant, The Cake Bake Shop is opening in 2023

Cons:
Currently under renovation ☹️The lobby and guest rooms are getting a facelift. Finish dates have not been released yet but they are promised to be breath taking when the construction wraps up.

This beautiful event has it all! Gorgeous topiaries, festival specific snacks, characters, and live music events.

Topiaries-gardens, living sculptures of characters, and exhibits are everywhere you turn
