🏰🚕🌳 what makes Disneyland a win for toddlers: Mickey’s Toontown. With interactive play areas (they can touch everything!), family-friendly attractions, safe spaces to run around, shady spots, dining options and restrooms, it truly is the ultimate toddler playground. Not to mention those coveted photos of meeting Mickey and Minnie at their cute homes! 🏡

The smaller scale of Disneyland in California alone can be a great draw for families with young kids. If you’re planning your family’s first Disney trip but aren’t ready to dive into Walt Disney World, consider starting with a visit to California. 2025 packages were just released!

🛳️🤵💵Let’s talk about gratuities when cruising!

Gratuities on a cruise are service tips given to the crew members who assist passengers throughout their voyage. These gratuities are usually distributed among various staff, including cabin stewards, dining room servers, and other service personnel. They serve as a way to recognize and reward the crew for their hard work and dedication to providing excellent service.

Cruise lines typically handle gratuities in one of three ways:

1. Automatic Gratuities: Many cruise lines automatically add a daily gratuity charge to passengers’ onboard accounts, which is then divided among the crew. The amount can vary depending on the cruise line and the type of cabin booked. Passengers can usually adjust the amount at the guest services desk if they wish.
2. Prepaid Gratuities: Passengers have the option to prepay gratuities at the time of booking or before the cruise begins. This allows them to settle the tipping upfront, ensuring they won’t have to think about it during the cruise.
3. Individual Tipping: Some passengers prefer to tip individually, either by adjusting the automatic gratuity amount or by giving cash tips directly to specific crew members who provided exceptional service.

Gratuities are an essential part of the compensation for cruise ship staff, many of whom rely on tips as a significant portion of their income. Did you hear? Disney Cruise Line’s new island destination, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is open! 🌴🛳️Located on the Bahamian Island of Eluthera 🇧🇸, this new port was developed with environmental protection and cultural inclusion at the forefront 🌿🌀, so you’ll immediately notice a few differences from Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

For starters, the 1/2 mile long walk to the island is to preserve the natural reef. Now, if you’re no stranger to 🏰Walt Disney World, those steps won’t seem like much, but for some it could be a little daunting.😅 It for sure changes how I recommend my clients pack and prepare for the day 🎒. For starters, apply sunscreen before disembarking and wear comfortable shoes!

My first cruise was on Disney Cruise Line. I had never been on a cruise before and always thought of them as just cities on the water, which didn’t appeal to me. However, after hearing so many rave reviews about Disney Cruise Line from everyone I met, I decided to give it a try to see what all the fuss was about.

To my surprise, I fell in love with cruising. The magic, the service, and the overall experience were beyond anything I had imagined. Now I understand why everyone thinks it is amazing.

I would encourage everyone to try it a cruise at least once! It offers a unique blend of relaxation, adventure, and convenience. Imagine waking up in a new destination without the hassle of packing and unpacking or navigating through airports. Cruises provide all-inclusive amenities like gourmet dining, world-class entertainment, and diverse activities, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you want to relax by the pool, explore exotic ports of call, or enjoy top-notch entertainment, a cruise has it all. It’s an opportunity to see multiple destinations in one trip while enjoying the comfort and luxury of a floating resort. Even if cruising isn’t ultimately your preferred way to travel, the experience is unlike any other and worth trying at least once.

MARATHON MONDAY: Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend runners…it’s almost GO time!!! 🏃🏅🎉

What race are you doing??? Many have training programs starting now, or very soon!

For my D***y race training (consecutive 5k, 10k, 1/2 marathon and marathon races), I am following a training plan that doesn’t start until September 1st, but starts with a 13mile run on the first week! So I am training to train! 🤣

I recommend researching your training plan or consider finding a run coach to assist you in reaching your goals!

Sometimes the BEST character dining at Walt Disney World is simply just Cast Members fully embracing their roles as your “cousins” like at 50's Prime Time Cafe. One of my best tips is to get to the parks early! ⏰ Avoid long transportation and security lines and get on a few rides ride away. Attractions often start running a few minutes before the park is actually scheduled to open! I recommend getting to you resort’s transportation 90 minutes before the park opens. When “rope dropping” Hollywood Studios the park opened at 9:00.
