Meet Cat, our new ! Cat is a wildlife biologist who lives for sunrise hikes with her dog and her camera. Her goal is to get people outside in non-mountainous regions of the province, like grasslands, canyons and boreal forests. Cat aims to show how beautiful these biomes are in their own way. From meandering daytrips to backcountry camping in the snow, Cat and her dog show off the highlights of these underrated landscapes and the wildlife that lives there.

Lac La Biche Region contains two official Métis Settlements - Buffalo Lake and Kikino - but there used to be a third? Touchwood Métis Settlement was one of four Alberta Métis Settlements that were dissolved between 1940 and 1960.

Here at WBFF we have a small herd of Tibetan Yaks! Our Black female yak Jewel is actually a great great grand daughter to one of the very first yaks that came to cananda to the Vancouver zoo! She is also from one of the top yak breeders in alberta along with her friends Mack and Cici! The girls also have a boyfriend named Zack.
If you have never been up close to a yak before book you, your family and friends a tour and we will be happy to tell you more and let you experience yak licks as they take grain from your hand!

May we DROP in? 💧 As part of our Alberta Environment approvals for our potable water, the Town of Taber is required to test households in our community. This is not new, as this rule has been in effect for decades. But the Town wants to make our data pool more varied and reflect a wider range of households, so we are asking the people of Taber who may be interested to sign up to be put on our list of willing test homes.
