We’re in the season of not knowing what the weather will hold in Disney World! Cold, warm, rain or a mix in one day?! Despite the unknown, this is one of my favorite times to visit! I recently had a client tell me that a Masters Degree was needed to understand Disney World and that everyone needed their own “Emily!”

I laughed and thanked her because this isn’t the first time I’ve heard this. One of my absolute favorite things about planning Disney trips for people is getting to teach them how it works . From no understanding of the Disney language and process (Lightning Lanes, Virtual Queues, Premier Pass, Advanced Dining Reservation, My Disney Experience to name a few), and not to mention the technology, it can seem very overwhelming.

Yes, I quote & book trips, make dining reservations, and prepare a custom itinerary for you when you book your Disney trip through me, but honestly, I think the MOST valuable service for my clients is to make sure they are prepared and have all of the knowledge to know exactly how to run Disney as if it’s their 100th time when it’s really their 1st!

Hurricane Milton Disney World Updates:

❌Oct. 9 Phased Closures:
- 1:00 PM: Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- 2:00 PM: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs

It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. Disney Springs MAY reopen Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings.

🎃Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is cancelled on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

🏕️ Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.

🚍 Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating Wednesday, Oct. 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close. Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

🌊⛳️Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

🍽️ Effective immediately, Disney will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences. Pre-paid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.

🏨 Due to potential weather impacts to guest travel plans, change and cancellation fees imposed by Disney will be waived for check-in dates of Tuesday, 10/8 - Monday, 10/14.

👋I think it’s about time for a little re-introduction of myself: My name is Emily, and I am a mom to two kiddos and 3 cats and have a sweet hubby! I am a lover of travel, running, volunteering at my kids’ school, and although not glamorous, being my kids’ personal chauffeur to all of their many activities 🤣.
