Can you put a post on to ask parents to remind their children to not throw apples at doors and windows, or try boot down doors and go over the park and giggle about it.There has been a few instances where they’ve done it to my uncles across from the park at the bottom Sharp Street! Happens again and we’ll get CCTV or Police involved! Disgusting behaviour.

Barrow Council has received a request for a scoping opinion on a big leisure scheme to be placed0.8km s.of Askam.
It comprisies 450 lodges, housing 1200 people and a resort with indoor outdoor and retail facilities on 55 hectares 136 acres with a 6 units per acre density.
The site is to be operated by Landal Green Parks (para. 1.2.2).
The site is SW of roanhead solar farm.
It is only 100m from Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve.
Access will be from the A590 and Hawthwaite Lane for all visitors.
The document talks of widening Hawthwaite Lane changing its character.
Lots Road off the A595 would be used for staff and Service vehicles.
The developer says" jobs in construction and hospitality will arise.but there s no reference to job numbers or wage rates or comparison made with existing average weekly male and female wages
The developer intends submitting a "detailed outline application" in 2023.
It is going to be important for Barrow, Dalton and Askam Council's to consult fully with local communities before they respond to the scoping opinion.

Late last night a fire work was set of from the Milk Hut car park right above the cow sheds, causing the cows to spook and one did the splits and subsequently had to be put down. This coupled with the increase of litter and general lack of respect to the Hut at night is making us consider shutting, at night. We obviously don’t want to do this as we understand that the majority of our customers do respect the Hut and our neighbours. We will be monitoring the situation closely with the help of the local police, who are in process of reviewing the CCTV footage. Thankyou to those that do respect and support the hard work all of us here at The Milk Hut put in to provide our produce.

Parents should be making sure their kids are being respectful, most of the kids i saw tonight with parents had no manners pushing in front of kids & parents stood there not a care in the world. Kids don't have respect & manners these days!! Hope people have cttv & upload to Facebook of the kids throwing a firework in someone's house.
Copied of another page what bastards these kids are!😡
‼️A group of boys are throwing apples and lit fireworks at houses and the Police have been contacted. These boys opened our front door and threw a firework into the house.
It would be good if people kept an eye out and looked after vulnerable neighbours who may feel worried.‼️

At the start of this year's run our aim was to try and achieve 'Care for a Day' in St Marys Hospice with your help we have exceeding all expectations 🥰🌻💙🚜😍

I'm sorry to use this site for a non pictorial purpose but we need to find our loved Puss cat. He is medium sized, grey in colour and answers to PussPuss. He was an abused stray that we rehomed a few years ago. He has made a lot of progress but he is still very wary of people. The main Road should of been opened early this morning but still shut at the station
What a nightmare putting cones in the middle of the road by the station on the sharp corner wagons are barely getting around the corner Stupid putting cones there when they don't need to, No signs either on the bypass or ireleth to say that the road is shut why close that road then the road at Askam school on the day kids go back! 10 mins it's taken me to get out of askam because of traffic on the lots with a skip wagon it's a joke also noticed the sign has now gone that was outside the station 😡😡
