Hard to believe this was a garage before. The kitchen is taking shape thanks to a little help from our fabulous friend Adrian Self. With a wooden floor and a wood burner in that opening it’ll be super cosy 💕

Tiling in bathroom number two coming along nicely. We were going to keep the old bathroom but then had a change of heart and decided to just go ahead and do it. So glad we did! More pics soon…

Just bagged this beauty of a table to go in the new kitchen (which is next in line to tackle). Part of what we really want to do is source beautiful antique pieces to go in the cottage for visitors to enjoy. Lovingly hand picked and curated and hopefully an inspiration for your own brocante trips whilst staying here. ❤️

One year ago this week we picked up the keys to this place, all thanks to Lindsay Self, who has been super supportive ever since. 🙏We’ve come a long way. Not as far as we’d hoped, but we’ll keep pushing. As soon as we saw it, we loved it. The location, the surroundings and the absolute tranquility. Nature all around, whatever the season. Have a listen.

Well it’s taken a lot longer than expected but finally the new patio doors are in! Bye bye ugly garage door (see below for reminder) and hello new kitchen with a view! Big kudos to the masons and carpenters who have been absolutely amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

While I was at work today the magic fairies installed this fabulous woodburner. It’s going to make things extra snuggly on those chilly winter evenings. Can’t wait to see it change again when the wood floor goes down 🧚🧦🔥
