After the first two hikes we planned fell through, we visited this old favorite. A fun little creek scramble. It’s hard to believe we haven’t been up here since 2017, before the Eagle Creek fires. Felt good to be back.💚

🏖We never get tired of visiting the beach. But sometimes trips don’t go as planned, and that’s okay! Like our latest trip to the coast. We recently adopted a rescue dog and he’s a good boy, at home! Clearly the little dude wasn’t socialized well as a puppy, so he barks at dogs, most people, kids, & anything on wheels except cars (🙌thankfully). He’s a handful, but friendly and so stinking cute! Sebastian has been a whole new type of adventure for us! He’ll need lots of training but we’re up for the challenge.
Anyway, on our last trip to the coast we couldn’t do a bunch of stuff we planned, because of naughty Sebastian, and sea fog🤣. Because we ended up seeking out places that weren’t as busy (PS the Oregon coast is annoyingly busy during summer! So glad we live here and can visit off season!), we ended up finding new places, treasures and things we didn’t expect! I was super frustrated at first because I had all these plans, but it was actually pretty cool to find new stuff. Like this beach in Newport we’ve never visited, even though we go to Newport ALL THE TIME.

What is something you’re looking forward to?

Lots going on in our lives recently! It’s been a busy couple months but we’re excited for changes, adventures and new experiences.
Now that things are kinda settling down I’m really looking forward to traveling again!

What are your hobbies?!? When we’re not traveling, one of the many things we enjoy is thrifting - at resale stores, garage sales, antique shops, free junk on the side of the road - your trash is probably our treasure! I freaking love ❤️ this poncho I picked up at a resale store for only $10!! We recently got back into what my parents would call “junking” as the world has been reopening and it’s so fun, I’ve really, really missed it! (When I was a kid and my parents dragged me junking I totally hated it, now you can’t stop me!🤣) That hobby feeds yet another, which is repurposing, crafting & DIY projects, which we’ve also been spending more time on lately. Feels good to be back!
