We also now have a microwave 👋 and a Nespresso machine so even if your small refuses to leave the flat and go to a cafe, you can have a Posh Coffee with a sea view :) (Replacement pods can be bought in Lidl.)

Changeling Theatre has performed in Folkestone’s Coastal Park Amphitheatre many a time. The location lends itself to live theatre, particularly Shakespeare. Rob Forknell, founder and Artistic Director has directed every Changeling show since its inception in 1997, he spoke to Folkelife about why Folkestone is such a great venue.

Love’s Labour’s Lost will be performed at the Coastal Park Amphitheatre at 5pm on Sunday 6th August 2023.

We're delighted to confirm that Tall Ship Thalassa will arrive at Folkestone Harbour Arm at approximately 12:30 on Friday 7th July and will remain docked over the weekend before departing at approximately 14:30 on Sunday 9th July.

Brought to Folkestone Harbour in collaboration with The Sports Trust, Folkestone & Hythe District Council, Ville de Boulogne-sur-Mer and Communauté D'agglomération du Boulonnais.

Sea swim followed by brilliant time in this wood powered horsebox sauna on the beach.
It's £15 a session, really recommend it.

Basking shark 🦈🤩😍
Amazing creature to have in the Folkestone sea.
Red flags up for swimming, but I expect that's more to protect the basking shark than any people (they are harmless to humans).

Due to a sighting of a suspected basking shark, as a precaution we are advising that you do not swim at Sunny Sands and the Warren. Red flags will be in place for 24 hours.

While basking sharks are not dangerous to people, they are endangered, so we are asking that you please keep your distance from any marine animals you may see at the coast.
