We say goodbye, au revoir to Alena, Anthony, Karima, Violette, Salvator and their hidden children. We had a great time sharing stories, food and drink with these wonderful people. Sometimes you just click and we all certainly did. They have invited us to visit them in Cognac and probably have to drink some as well. Here's what Alena had to say about her stay:

We say fair well to Sabrim and his lovely family. They were wonderful guests and very respectful. Here is what Sabrim had to say: Very nice house, very spacious, we had 2 great weeks, we did not know the city, very relaxing, regarding David very welcoming, he does not hesitate to give advice, places to go out and always listening, superb person. TAKE THE PICTURESQUE WATER ROUTE OF BOLULLA!..
This hidden gem is located inland of the Costa Blanca about half an hour drive from Benidorm, Altea or Calpe. The Bolulla water route has enhanced the small village it surrounds, and includes, beautiful walkways, cascades, and an old mill. The walk takes about an hour at a gentle pace, which makes it suitable for families with children, and ideal for dog walking. There are some uneven pathways which are not accessible for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Parking can be found at the start of the route (Ruta del Agua de Bolulla 03518 Bolulla, Alicante), indicated by signposts. The first cascade you come across is the Font dels Xorros, which is particularly spectacular to see straight after a rainfall. Following the path, you pass a small aqueduct that diverts the waters of the Azud to the orchards on the other side of the river. The path then continues along a dirt track and you will cross a little stream that sometimes carries a small amount of water. After this, you will see the remains of the old flour mill, which was in operation until the 20th century.

We say goodbye to the O'Neill family and thank them for their new found friendship and much fun times together. We also thank them for their amazing review and look forward to seeing them again.
Public Airbnb Review: Wonderful stay in a beautiful villa hosted by a beautiful friendly family. Couldn't ask for any more. The villa had everything and more. Cosy yet spacious. 5 stars does not suffice. Everything on hand, pubs, restaurant's, supermarkets, benches. Highly recommended. It was a Beautiful villa with everything you could possibly want plus more. Fabulous location, close to everything required for the best of family holidays. Very lovely host and family who could not do enough. 5 stars ++

For a change, rather than posting the clean end result I thought I might post just some of the background work and checks done yesterday and today before our next guests arrive. Of course this is only a very small section of the cleaning but it's the more nasty stuff.

What's new at the villa this year. We have refreshed the outside seating covers, the dinning set and purchase a new corner sofa bed, which has enabled us to also now have a dinning table and 8 chairs comfortably in the main lounge.

We say goodbye to the Duggan family and wish them a safe journey home to Scotland. Jon's Airbnb Review was very kind: We had a fantastic stay, Dave couldn’t do enough for us. Very handy for lots of places. Everything on hand and the pool just around the corner for the kids. Would highly recommend, can’t wait to go back.

A lovely review from my last guest Pilar and family: David is very kind and tries by all means that your stay is as comfortable as possible, also if a problem arises, he solves it quickly, the cleaning is good and the kitchen utensils are more than enough, as well as the bedding and towels you have. There is plenty if I had to put a but it would be on the mattress of the double bed, maybe because I am used to mine and although he does not know Spanish and I do not know English we have not had any problem when communicating my assessment is very good so much that I hope to return thanks David.

Great to host 12 strong post graduate officer training group from the British Armed Forces. An eventful week which included getting one of their hire cars impounded and a female member taking the fast route down off the rock face bouncing as she fell to land on a metal tie bar. Resulting in stitches in her leg. A good week had by all then.
