I don’t know about you, but our calendar is filling up fast with so many activities and events happening around OHIO. One thing Mark and I enjoy almost nightly is attending and supporting the Chillicothe Paints Baseball games ⚾️.

The Chillicothe Paints are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Chillicothe, Ohio, in the United States. The team is a member of the summer collegiate Prospect League. The Paints previously played in the professional independent Frontier League from 1993 to 2008. The Paints play their home games at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. Memorial Stadium.

Old Canal Smoke House NEVER disappoints! The best prime rib around and their rib meat just falls off the bone! I always get a fresh and large salad with pulled pork (sweet BBQ please). If you don’t want to wait (and that’s a given in the evenings) sit at the bar and let our favorite bartender Brandy take your order, have some great conservation, and the best service around! Tell her Mark and Kelli sent you!

My followers know me! Coffee shops are one of my favorites! When I was traveling around the today, I found the most elegant and classy shop….. Home + Brew by Misdiy! The owner, Misdiy and her staff were fantastic! Plus-to know they sell Tom's Ice Cream Bowl flavors right in the coffee shop-Any day is ice cream day! 🍦🍨

Most everyone knows I don’t drink coffee HOWEVER, one of my favorite places to find when I’m out and about in OHIO is coffee shops, bakeries and donut shops! I found the cutest little coffee shop located right in Highland County today called Grind House Cafe. The building is small but perfect! They have not one drive thru window to order up…..but another lane on the other side of the building-I told you it was unique!

The staff offers daily coffees, pastries, donuts, muffins as well as a few sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.

The atmosphere inside The Grind House Cafe was warm and welcoming, and has a cozy seating option and a friendly staff. I was able to met Lisa Boyd, the owner and she was terrific!

Just a hop, skip, and jump from and located in the cute town of Greenfield, Ohio! Take my recommendation and make the trip!

Sometimes the most unexpected and fun places pop up on your radar…..I FOUND ONE FOR YOU! Hocking Hills (Hocking County) is the home of the Paul A. Johnson Pencil Sharpener Museum! A re-dedication and ribbon cutting was held this weekend by the Hocking Hills Chamber of Commerce and ready for your visit! Located next to the Hocking Hills Regional Welcome Center at 13178 OH-664
Logan, Ohio, 43138!

The Pencil Sharpener Museum is the result of over 20 years of collecting by Ohio local, Rev. Paul A. Johnson. His wife gave him a couple of car-shaped sharpeners in the late 1980s, and his zeal for collecting was born.
His collection has grown over time to over 3400 at the time he passed away in 2010. As of today, they estimate well over 5,000.

It’s a sight! So fun to reminisce of years past, with styles, designs, and sharpeners we totally forgot about! Side note: the pictures don’t do the collection justice-make the time to take the road trip!
