DAY 12 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 21/09/2023 🇬🇷

Our day began with an Athens sightseeing tour, including the Acropolis and Mars Hill. After lunch, we journeyed to Corinth, explored its biblical history and archaeological treasures.

In the evening, we enjoyed an Athens by night orientation tour, followed by dinner at a traditional Greek restaurant and a folklore dance show. 💃🏻

DAY 11 - TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 20/09/2023 🇬🇷

Our day commenced with a visit to the world-renowned Byzantine monasteries, perched daringly on the summits of grey rock pinnacles, each with its unique and captivating shape. These monasteries have a history dating back to the 14th century, when monks sought refuge in cliffside caves before eventually constructing the original wooden shelters, which later evolved into the magnificent monasteries we see today.

Following this awe-inspiring visit, we enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant.

Our journey continued, taking us through the mountains towards Athens. Along the way, we passed by Thermopylae, where we learned about the famous Spartan battle of 300.

As the day came to a close, we gathered for dinner at a restaurant in Athens, concluding our day of exploration.

Day 11 was a day of marvelLing at the impressive Meteora monasteries and tracing the footsteps of ancient history.

DAY 10 TURKEY AND GREECE - 19/09/2023 🇬🇷

Today, we left Thessaloniki and headed to Meteora. Along the way, we explored Berea (Veria), visited an ancient synagogue, and saw remnants of the original Roman road from Paul's time. We also marveled at King Phillip's tomb in Vergina.

We concluded the day in Kalambaka for dinner and rest. More adventures await!

DAY 9 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 18/09/2023 🇬🇷

Our day began with an early departure from Istanbul to Thessaloniki, Greece, where we enjoyed breakfast boxes en route.

Upon arrival in Thessaloniki, we stepped into the pages of the New Testament, particularly Acts 17:1-9 and 1 & 2 Thessalonians.

Lunch awaited us at a local restaurant, fueling our exploration.

Thessalonica, a charming harbor city, unfolded before us as we embarked on a sightseeing tour. We admired the old city ramparts, explored the newly excavated Forum, visited St. George's Church, which was once an ancient Roman monument transformed into a church, and marveled at the Galerius Arch towering over the famous Via Egnatia.

Our journey continued as we walked to the White Tower along the seafront, where we had the option to enjoy a 30-minute floating cruise

Day 9 immersed us in the rich history of Thessaloniki, offering a deeper understanding of its biblical significance. Stay tuned for more discoveries!

DAY 8 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 17/09/2023 🇹🇷

Our day began at the magnificent Topkapi Palace, followed by a visit to the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome Square, and the iconic Hagia Sophia Museum/Mosque, a wonder of the world.

After a delicious lunch, we explored the vast Grand Bazaar, haggling over an array of goods, and enjoyed free time at the Spice Market.

Our evening concluded with a delightful 3-course local menu at the Galata Fish House Restaurant. 🍽

Day 8 was a journey through Istanbul's treasures and flavours, leaving us with cherished memories.

DAY 7 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 16/09/2023 🇹🇷

This morning, our journey led us to Troy, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site. Here, we delved into the epic story of the Trojan War, where Greek and Trojan heroes clashed for the honour of beautiful Helen of Troy. We marvelled at the legendary walls, historic buildings, and even encountered a replica of the iconic Wooden Horse.

Our journey continued to Gallipoli, a place steeped in historical significance, particularly for its role in World War I, where Allied Forces, including Australians and New Zealanders, left their mark.

In the evening, we arrived at the port for a Bosphorus Sea Cruise dinner, where we enjoyed an Indian Cuisine buffet while taking in the mesmerising views. 🌊

DAY 6 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 15/09/2023 🇹🇷

Today we began with a visit to the Leather Center, enjoying a live fashion show and Turkish hospitality with soft drinks and apple tea.

Ephesus, the first of the Seven Churches, unveiled its wonders: the theater, library, Temple of Hadrian, and Roman Terrace Houses. We paid homage at the Virgin Mary's House and Saint John's Basilica.

After lunch, we explored Bergama, home to the ancient Pergamum, another of the Seven Churches. The acropolis, theater, and Temple of Athena stood as testaments to a rich past.

Our day ended at Odun Iskelesi, where we visited Alexandria Troas, where Paul raised Eutychus.

Day 6 was a profound journey through history and spirituality. More discoveries await! ✨

DAY 5 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 14/09/2023 🇹🇷

Day 5 of our Turkey & Greece Christian Tour promised a journey into history and a taste of the local culture that left us inspired and delighted.

Our first stop was Smyrna, a place of spiritual significance mentioned in Revelation 2:8-11, where we visited the Church of Revelation. We explored the 'Roman Agora' in the city center and then wandered through Kemeraltı Town, once home to Christian and Jewish communities, for a walking tour. Free time at Clock Tower & Konak Square allowed us to soak in İzmir's lively atmosphere. Lunch featured fresh seafood by the Kordon Seaside Coastline.

Our journey continued with a visit to the Old Lift (Asansor), offering stunning city views. We enjoyed free time on Kıbrıs Şehitliği Avenue, known for outlets, local souvenirs, and coffee shops.

Finally, we headed back to Kusadasi, checked in at our hotel, and enjoyed a relaxing dinner.

DAY 4 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 13/09/2023 🇹🇷

Today our Turkey & Greece Christian Tour brought us face-to-face with the fascinating history and mesmerizing natural wonders of this remarkable region.

Our journey commenced with a visit to Laodicea, one of the seven churches, where the echoes of the past resonated in every stone. We immersed ourselves in the spiritual significance of this ancient site, contemplating its historical and religious significance.

Next, we ventured to Pamukkale, famously known as the 'Cotton Castle,' nestled within the enchanting Hierapolis. Here, nature's artistry was on full display with its hot springs and terraces of carbonate minerals created by flowing water. Walking on the snow-white terraced ponds was a truly unique experience, and for those seeking the ultimate relaxation, there was an option to bathe in the rejuvenating hot springs.

Our journey continued to Philadelphia, now known as Alasehir, where we explored the remains of a Byzantine basilica, bearing witness to the rich tapestry of history that has unfolded in this land. Eleventh-century frescoes adorned our path, telling stories of a bygone era.

Later, we set our sights on Sardis and Thyatira, delving deeper into the historical treasures that await us on this extraordinary expedition.

Day 4 was a day of exploration, reflection, and awe-inspiring encounters.

DAY 3 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 12/09/2023 🇹🇷

Today on our tour, we had the privilege of experiencing the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation.

The day began with an exciting optional hot air balloon ride over the mesmerising landscapes of Cappadocia. Floating among the enchanting rock formations and historic valleys was nothing short of magical.

Afterward, we set out on a scenic journey to Pamukkale, a destination known for its stunning terraces of mineral-rich thermal waters. 🦆

To end the day, we celebrated Pastor Dhanan's birthday.

DAY 1/2 TURKEY AND GREECE TOUR - 10TH/11TH SEP 2023 🌍

Our journey on the SEVEN CHURCHES OF REVELATION & IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF ST PAUL & ST JOHN TOUR has commenced in splendid fashion! 🇹🇷

Day One ushered us into Istanbul, where we were warmly greeted by our expert guides. Following our arrival, we seamlessly settled into our comfortable hotel accommodations, ensuring a smooth start to our expedition.

Day Two was a culturally enriching experience. We began by immersing ourselves in the intricate art of carpet weaving, a testament to Turkey's rich heritage. The adventure continued as we explored the mesmerising cave churches and the renowned Goreme open-air museum, where history came to life. Our path led us to the charming Avanos pottery village, an ode to traditional craftsmanship. The day's itinerary also included a captivating journey into the underground city of Kaymakli and a visit to the distinctive Uchisar "castle" village.
