After a short hike in the protected forest of Pacoche, we were able to spot them! A large family of howler monkeys freely interacting with nature right before our eyes! #AboveSeaLevel

We put on boots and gloves and head to this mangrove in Mompiche to practice an activity called "concheo" with Guillermo, a local who continues the tradition of collecting shells as a livelihood. After our hard-earned work, his wife prepared the shells we collected, which were without a doubt the freshest and most delicious I've ever tasted. #abovesealevel
