Read what our recent guest, Kitty, had to say when they stayed at The Salisbury by Stay in Scarborough:

“Fantastic seaside apartments!

Literally, everything was fantastic about this place.
The rooms were stylish and comfortable, nice touches in the rooms with sleeping packs, beds super comfortable, shower great.
The furniture was lovely. I stayed in a two-bed apartment on 2nd floor and a one-bed on 4th floor. I preferred the 4th floor because I had a view of the castle.
The building had a really nice atmosphere. The codes are given to you in the morning of arrival, the drop-box was a bit fiddly, but I managed it ok.
The location couldn’t be better in the centre of town, next to the new Starbucks coffee shop. I really recommend these apartments if you like a bit of luxury.”

Our latest blog post highlights 5 places to visit in Scarborough's Old Town.

Scarborough’s Old Town encompasses the area around the Castle and Harbour and reaches as far out as Friargate and Scarborough Market Hall.

There is so much to see and do in this area, so here's a few of our highlights.

Scarborough Market Hall & Vaults should not be missed! From the rainbow colours of fresh fruit and veg to the amazing shops and pop up stalls - there's lots to explore. 🛍

Scarborough Castle stands proud between the North and South Bay. It's worth a visit for the panoramic views of Scarborough alone. 🏰

Beside Scarborough Castle and just above the Old Town, stands St. Mary's Church – the final resting place of Anne Bronte, the famous novelist and poet. 🪦

Scarborough’s harbour is home to a fleet of hard working fishing vessels. At the end of the pier you’ll find the lighthouse which dates back to 1806. 🛥

Through the cobbled streets of Scarborough's Old Town you'll find some amazing places to eat and drink, including Clark's Restaurant - an award-winning dining experience. 🍽

"Exceptional 10 / 10!

Everything was amazing, the space, the cleanliness. We regularly have nights away in Scarborough have done for years, this was by far our favourite and are hoping to book again extremely soon.

Not sure we’ll ever go anywhere else 😃 thank you Salisbury team 👏👏

There wasn’t one thing we could complain about. McDonald’s across the road was a bonus too for breakfast before we travelled home" ❤️❤️

Scarborough Harbour 🛥

Just a short walk from our apartments at 25 Newborough and The Salisbury by Stay in Scarborough.

Located under the Castle headlands, Scarborough's historic harbour is home to a fleet of hard working fishing vessels and at the end of the pier you'll find the lighthouse which dates back to 1806.

You can enjoy the coastal scenery from one of the many pleasure boats or watch the world go by from a variety of cafes and restaurants.

"It was successful in every way; we still can’t get over this lovely place. 10/10." 🤩

This is a recent review from a guest called Jane, from the UK, who stayed at The Salisbury by Stay in Scarborough, in one of our Classic 2 bedroom apartments for 3 nights. She went on to say...

"We were thrilled with this apartment.
I had taken stuff which was already provided, toilet and kitchen rolls, towels (not beach) fragrant shampoo etc, all washing facilities and iron.
Need I go on?

Free Wi Fi, wow.

It was business/time out for three of us.
Please keep this apartment block a SECRET!! I want it all to ourselves.

Plus, Scarborough is delightful; for a base to surrounding countryside par excellence, and for itself, art galleries, slot machines, music venues, theatre, history galore, good shops et al.
