Whether you are looking for a long weekend or a week away from the city, look no further. We are just what you need to get away for a relaxing vacation. Only a short drive from Chicago, Indianapolis, or Detroit, South Haven has everything you need to unwind. The most beautiful beaches along Lake Michigan allow you to live the Lake Life!

Let us introduce ourselves. We are lifelong Michigan residents and teachers. Heather spent many years raising two amazing kids who are now grown. Now, she teaches in an alternative high school. Her hobbies include travel, photography, and cooking/baking. Jim has been a high school Social Studies teacher for the past 30 years and is recently retired. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, reading, and golf. This rental is a new venture in his life and we are so excited to start sharing this corner of Michigan with you!

Driftwood Shores is a place that we have created for our guests to enjoy. We hope that once you enter our doors, you will be able to drop your luggage and start vacationing right away. We want to provide everything you need to feel at home. But we go beyond that. Being located so close to Lake Michigan and the Black River, we provide you with two kayaks to explore! Roll the kayaks to the launch, drop in, and off you go! You will love the marinas, lighthouse and the winding river! The Kal-Haven Trail runs very close to our property. This path is a 33 mile trail that runs between Kalamazoo and South Haven and has been rated a Top Pure Michigan trail. You will find two bikes in the garage so that you can pedal and find the beautiful covered bridges along your ride. This path can be used for walks, biking, cross country skiing or snowmobiling!
