My former boss, who is currently stationed in Germany, sent this to me this morning! It’s going up on the side of a city recycling building.

I’m so glad he knows how much I love this, and it just further shows the new theme of my tours: Art Gives. I shared my love of street art with him and I’m sure he will ALWAYS think of me when he sees it. That connection, spoken or unspoken, is crazy!❤️

✨✨FREE EVENT✨✨

Atl Street Art tours is all about connections and community, AND we’re all about health! When I first started operating the tours, so many people asked why it was a walking tour. Yes, scooters and driving tours were considered, but getting out to get some exercise was super important to me.

Another day, another incredible reminder of why Art Gives.

Today’s tour brought together a group of science-minded guests with brilliant, curious perspectives. And what I loved most was how quickly the conversation moved beyond the murals to talk about life, community, and how connected we really are when we slow down and look for it.

I shared pieces of my own story, including my time in the military, and it was beautiful how the group opened up too — asking thoughtful, personal questions and reflecting on how art reminds us of our shared humanity.

Funny thing — I brought headsets for the tour, but no one wanted them. And honestly? I get it. Sometimes the best conversations happen face to face, with no tech between us.

Another tour done. And I’m leaving full.

I’m ready to hit the pavement this weekend! We won’t be on this route with what I call the “United with Hands” mural by Shamora Merritt, but we will be in the streets!

In 2014, I had the opportunity to explore the Atlanta neighborhoods Mechanicsville and Pittsburgh. In 2020, I started seeing subtle changes. Now in 2025, the changes are so dramatic it’s crazy!

What you see here is a mock-up of something powerful in the making—the Giving Wall. This project is all about connectedness, creativity, and community impact. While it’s not real YET, it will be.

Here’s how it will work:

🎨 Featured Artwork – The space inside the border will showcase pieces by up-and-coming artists or local middle/high school art programs.

🖊️ Community Signatures – Visitors can sign the outer border, leaving their mark as part of something bigger.

📲 Give Back with a QR Code – Scan to donate and support initiatives like artist supplies, community clean-ups, and more.
