And that’s a wrap on the D***y challenge! I finished my first full marathon and holy moly was it an experience I will never forget!

The first half felt pretty good then by mile 19 the highway miles started to take a toll but I finished! It may not have been fast or pretty but I made it the full 26.2 miles 🤗🤗

Right after mile 25 I saw my mother-in-law in the UK of Epcot and that gave a little boost to finish the run and that I could do it!

Crossing that finish line to see my husband, kids, parents and 92 year old grandfather was one of the best and most emotional memories from the weekend. My girls got to see what mom has been training for and that you can do hard things.

I may never do another full marathon or d***y but I’m glad I did this one.

Now that the chaos of traveling has settled and I’ve been able to soak in all the excitement here’s another recap from last weekend.

Saturday was the Walt Disney World Half Marathon and oh man did it start out with a bang…for a good 2 hours of waiting in the corrals it poured on us 🌧️

Luckily the ran let up before we started running and I have to say the first time you run down Main St USA in Magic Kingdom is the most memorable moment ever! I wanna run down Main St every race now.

That wrapped up 3 of the 4 races but didn’t even get half of the weekends mileage done (22.4 miles done, 26.2 miles to go)

And with that we’re officially halfway through the 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon weekend 🤗🎉🏃‍♀️

So far we’ve completed the 5k and 10k runs so I have 9.3 miles complete wish 39.3 miles left to finish my first D***y Challenge 💚💜💚💜

This has been a crazy bucket list item to train and plan for but we’re here and we’re doing it!
