VEGAS TRIP REPORT 😍
Our first time in Las Vegas was everything my Daughter and I hoped it would be last year.
We researched our Hotel/flight and excursions to make sure we got the most reputable companies instead of scammers. Our research definitely paid off.
- We stayed at MGM Grand Hotel.
By far the best pool/lazy River and overall great hotel in my opinion…. And we saw every single hotel on the strip. We took a day to tour ALL of them. Well worth it.
- Emerald Cave kayaking tours (ask for Michelle) she was our guide and she was amazing!
- Big Bus open top/ hop on - hop off night tour. 2.5 hour tour and they covered everything, including Fremont street (a must see). If I ever go back I would do the day and night tour for full experience. Everything looks totally different whether it’s day or night. Very affordable.
- Take a full day to just walk the strip/ Explore ALL the hotels/Casinos. They’re beautiful and a lot of history.
- Minus 5 Ice bar (located at the Linq) is an absolute must. Coolest experience! It’s also located on a really neat street with lots of restaurants and entertainment.
- Fremont street is a must see attraction but be out of there by midnight. After midnight they say the hardcore club /nightlife starts. Just wasn’t our thing so we were out of there by 10ish.
- The Strat observation stratosphere is pretty cool too. It was a last minute thing and glad we did. You can see for miles. Really pretty. I would recommend going at night.
- Maverick Helicopter tours was hands down perfection! I wouldn’t book with any other company. They are the most reputable company. If you book a tour, ask for Pilot Jacobi. He was great! The sunset tour was amazing! They also do tours over the strip at night that are pretty reasonable if you didn’t want to do the Grand Canyon tour.
- We did not catch any shows because most were not open when we were there last year.
- We booked our flight with Southwest Airlines because they’re very reasonable and they had a direct flight from Birmingham to Las Vegas. Travel times 3 hrs 50 mins.
Hope this was helpful. We definitely had a great experience!
We stayed 5 days and planned great experiences each day. We will definitely do this again!

Amanos Pizza Kitchen Fat Babys Pizza and Pasta cones. It's about a 10 min Uber ride from the strip, and probably worth it for the price. I'll head there sometime and bring back a review for y'all.
