The day is Monday. It’s Monday 6th January and the kids are officially back at school (the crowd goes wild!!).
To some extent, normal service resumes today. I say to some extent, as January and the first part of February are anything but normal in the travel industry.

My office hours during the day will always be 0915-1430.
Then, once Finley is settled and off to the land of nod, I tend to log on again from 2000 for an hour or so to catch up with things from during the day.

Having just about defrosted from my Lapland adventure (I promise, I will share details soon!) and caught up with some admin, my laptop is now firmly turned off for the festivities.

Channelling my inner Mariah Carey… “it’s tiiiiimmmmmmmmeeeeee”.

I am now officially out of office and heading to Lapland. It’s the biggest secret I’ve ever kept from Finley, however all was revealed after school today.

I will be in Lapland from 19th December and will be back to some sort of normal on 23rd December. I’m ready to find out if I’m on the nice list this year. I’m also incredibly excited to create these memories for Finley.

Hello! I’m Zara and I’m located in Whitfield, on the outskirts of Dover. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in the travel industry for 13 years both as a high street agent and in tour operations, they say the industry is like a bug, once you get it, you can’t leave it, its very true.

I have a huge passion for travel and have always had a great deal of excitement when finding that dream holiday for my customers new or old, as your holiday whether it be your 1st, 2nd or 3rd holiday of the year is just as important as the last. I have been extremely lucky in my line of work to travel to some absolutely amazing places, including USA and Alaska, The Caribbean, The Indian Ocean, The Middle East, Cruising, Europe, and my all time favourite, Canada. I’ve travelled both the East and West coast and been on that bucket-list ticking Rocky Mountaineer amongst the awe-inspiring parks and attractions. One of my biggest ‘wow’ moments in my travelling career was flying over Greenland en-route to Alaska and seeing the ice bergs down below, it really did take your breath away.

I pride myself on customer service and the smaller details, which is why in my previous jobs I have been awarded prestigious accolades. Smaller details may include helping follow the footsteps of ancestors in India to arranging a perfect romantic proposal in Santorini. Nothing really is too much trouble.
