Mobile Archaeology Project Mobile Archaeology Project was founded to expand knowledge of history and archaeology.

We will come to your location and present on a topic of your choosing, with or without a hands-on activity. While all our programming includes touching real artifacts and materials, activities are a highly recommended addition as they help participants to engage, and have better recall of the experience.

Archaeologists across the entire world are racing against climate change to record our collective human experience, and the history of life on earth. So many sites are melting into the ocean. Organic artifacts are rotting where they lay on mountaintops and tundra. It’s an exciting time, and a sorrowful one.

“Netflix’s latest documentary series is causing a commotion. Creator/host Graham Hancock is a journalist known for his pseudoscience theories and unsubstantiated historical claims. He’s written several books about his ancient historical thoughts, but with Ancient Apocalypse he wanted to up his game and “overthrow the paradigm of history.” He claimed “big archaeology” wouldn’t look into his claims so he had to make this series himself. Actual archaeologists had some notes.

Although Ancient Apocalypse has been popular on the streaming platform since its premiere in November, many academics are questioning its credibility. The Society for American Archaeology (SAA) penned an open letter to Netflix and ITN, the series’ production company, condemning the show and asking for it to be re-categorized as “science-fiction” rather than “documentary.”

😁 Reckon they’ll use the new movie to show Indy having any regrets or attempting to make up for his actions in any way? Set in the ‘60s? Yeah, I don’t think so either.
