This week’s romantic getaway features an old church-like building named Batty Langley Lodge which is part of the perimeter that surrounds the Palladian Castletown House, just outside of Dublin. The exterior of the house comprises grey stone walls with seven stone pinnacles. This 18th century building it surrounded by nature’s most quiet and relaxing pleasantries. Walk with your lover by the lake and enjoy magnificent rural Irish scenery or maybe take a walk down to the Irish national stud and Japanese gardens to see the world-class thoroughbred horses. The interior of the house features elegant royal furniture, warm wooden floors, a wood burning stove and comfortable bedding. But what we love best about this house is that there is minimal electronics available. It is a break from the outside world and a chance to reconnect with your loved one. No WiFi, no television. Just you, your partner and 1 pet if you have a third little companion staying with you. One con worth mentioning is a car is advised as there are no shops within a 20-minute walk of the Lodge.

This weeks post features a very special location. Today's key word is 'coziness'!
