RESULTS 2024 STATE SILVER GLOVES TOURNAMENT

We had a successful Colorado State Silver Gloves Tournament this past weekend!

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO CAME TO SUPPORT!!!!

We had 72 total participants; 24 contested bouts; 30 unopposed boxers; 48 champions.

There were many great bouts contested and the bout of the Tournament went to:

Age 14/15, 125 lbs: Julio Hernandez, Unattached vs. Jose Saldivar Hielo, House of Pain East

The 1st Place Team Trophy went to:

USA All Stars

Team Trophy runners-up were 2nd Place Santiago's and 3rd Place House of Pain East

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL and to those who will be representing us at the Regional Silver Gloves in California in January 2025.

The Regional Silver Gloves will be in Carson, CA. I am waiting for the actual "Region VIII Fact Sheet" in order to pass it on to those eligible Boxers/Coaches.

In the meantime, I am putting together a "final" roster for the Regional Silver Gloves. I will be contacting those Coaches who have Boxers eligible to go to California. If you are unable to bring your Boxer to the Regional Silver Gloves, I will contact the runner-up to fill that position if applicable.

THANK YOU to those that helped make this Tournament a success: Konquer and staff, Weigh-in crew, A1 Boxing, Coaches, Boxers, Officials, Physician, Family and Friends and all our Boxing Fans! It wasn't a success without ALL of you!!!!!

On a last note, it is with great disappointment that I have to make this last statement. As you know, we are giving ALL Boxers that entered the Tournament a Colorado Silver Gloves T-Shirt. I brought mine to the venue to show the Boxers what they would be receiving. We received a lot of great feedback. It was hanging on the ring apron throughout the entire show on Sunday and then while packing up, we noticed that it was no longer on the hanger. Sad to say it was removed by someone. If someone has the t-shirt, please do the right thing and bring it back to me. We are also checking the security tapes.
