Muharram & Ashura Festival in Iran
Every year in the month of #Muharram, various groups in all cities of #Iran mourn for Imam Hussein (the third Imam of the Shiites). Each of the people of different regions, according to their own old culture, hold this ceremony in a special style. In this clip, you can see the traditional mourning of the people of Yazd, Nakhl Gardani of the people of Taft, and the special music of southern Iran.
Of course, this year, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, holding ceremonies with a large number of people have been stopped, but people in small groups and observing safety tips still mourn this month, some ceremonies are even held online.
In addition to this, many groups, such as the people of Yazd, who were mourning this month in large numbers, have given up on it and are spending the ceremony to do good deeds.

National Festival of Authentic Turkoman Horse Beauty
. 📌 Golestan, Kalaleh, Soufian Village 🗓 May 1st .
Slender body, a straight profile, long neck, sloping shoulders, long and muscular legs… and metallic fur that nobody knows why it shines. That’s how the Turkoman #horse is described. It is renowned for its endurance and is one of the toughest #horse_breeds in the world.
.
The #Turkomans living in the northern and eastern parts of Iran have had a long history of coexisting with horses. There is this funny saying that a Turkoman man my not know how old his children are. But, he definitely knows every trivial detail of his horse.
.
Every year, there is a horse-tastic #festival in #Golestan province, Iran. It is held on May 1st, in the green splendor of Soufian village pastures.
The participants come from different cities of Iran to exhibit the beauty of their horses. The main reason for this festival is to revive and maintain the genetic reserve of the Turkoman horse.

Bushehr Koocheh Iranian Folk Music Festival
"From the kid playing in the alley to the old fisherman coming back from work and the traveler from another land, we were all singing and dancing as the sounds of Iran brought us all together those nights. The magic of experiencing authentic live Persian music from different parts of Iran in one place was indescribable. It didn’t even matter where we had come from, we were singing poems and feeding on music as we were all one family that belonged on those streets that night."
