Parks are important to us all so come and help celebrate the love for our green spaces through MEA Love Parks Week programme, activities all week long.

Alayah, one of our talented school leavers, is being featured this summer in an exhibition at Larne Museum and Arts Centre! She creates amazing mini sculptures of monkeys and has recreated famous paintings and class themes, to name but a few! The official launch is at 2 p.m. on 2nd July, but the exhibition is open all summer and well worth a visit! 👏🐵🥰

This is the last week of "The Sun Shines On", a small hallway display, telling the story of the Sun Laundry.

The Sun Laundry opened in 1894. Advertisements for the company were keen to extol the virtues of the location of the works, which were "...unequalled, possessing the advantages of sea and country, splendid drying facilities, and a never-failing supply of beautiful spring water."

This advert appeared in the Larne Bathing Committee Handbook of Grand Fete and Fancy Fair in 1899. The fair was organised to raise funds for the improvement of the sea-bathing accommodation at the Bank Heads, Larne.

The exhibition closes to the public on Friday 28th June at 4.00pm.

Larne Museum's John Clifford Gallery is now hosting "LARNE. A Personal Portrait.", a photographic exhibition by Roger Ford-Hutchinson.

The exhibition consists of 100 images taken in, and around, the Larne area over the last 15 years. This is an eclectic mix of images taking in the local landscape, its buildings and its people.
