In order for you to enjoy your stay, there are probably some things that you would like to know! Please read the following DO’s and DON’Ts
We want you to feel welcome, but have some rules we'd like you to follow:
- Please NO smoking indoors. If you would like to smoke, please use an ashtray and don’t leave butts lying around. They look bad, smell bad, and can cause a forest fire.
- We prefer not
to have pets in our home while we are away. We love animals but know the damage they can cause. No pets unless you have special circumstances that you have cleared with us and agreed to the repair and replacement of any damages. Pets are not allowed upstairs under any circumstances.
- As with most homes, you should never flush any feminine products or wipes, even if they say flushable.
- Please take your shoes off especially in the carpeted areas. If you are on the main floor or in the basement, no worries! If you venture upstairs, please remove your shoes.
- Please feel free to use anything in the kitchen. Our kitchen is your kitchen. Please clean and store items as best as you can remember. There is no trash compactor, so please use the garbage can.
- Please use the recycling cans as marked. Rinse all recyclables before putting them in the designated cans.
- You may use the washing machine and dryer as needed. No special instructions here. Don’t forget to take the lint out of the dryer. There might even be some detergent for you to use.
- Please do not eat on the 2nd floor. This is a rule we try to adhere to, but the truth is that as long as you are neat and clean up, food upstairs is okay. As you can imagine, having a house in the woods, we don’t want to attract any unwanted critters.
- Please feel free to read any books at the house, but don't take them home with you.
- Internet is available all over the house and extends to the porch and deck, but doesn't reach all the way to the lakeshore.
