The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program has undergone significant changes for 2024, introducing a new tiered system with varying financial requirements and benefits. Here are the key points of the latest MM2H requirements:

Tiered System
The new MM2H guidelines include three tiers: Platinum, Gold, and Silver, each with distinct fixed deposit (FD) requirements and visa durations:

1. Platinum Tier:
* FD Requirement: RM 5,000,000 (approximately USD 1.05 million).
* Benefits: 20-year renewable visa.
* Withdrawal: Up to 50% of the FD can be withdrawn after one year for property purchase (minimum RM 1.5 million), healthcare, and domestic travel.

2. Gold Tier:
* FD Requirement: RM 2,000,000 (approximately USD 420,800).
* Benefits: 15-year renewable visa.
* Withdrawal: Up to 50% of the FD can be withdrawn after one year for property purchase (minimum RM 750,000), healthcare, and domestic travel.

3. Silver Tier:
* FD Requirement: RM 500,000 (approximately USD 105,000).
* Benefits: 5-year renewable visa.
* Withdrawal: Up to 50% of the FD can be withdrawn after one year for property purchase, healthcare, and domestic travel

General Requirements
* Minimum Income: Previously, a monthly offshore income of RM 40,000 was required. However, the new guidelines do not specify a minimum income, focusing instead on the fixed deposit amounts.
* Minimum Stay: All MM2H participants must stay in Malaysia for a cumulative total of 60 days per year. This requirement can be fulfilled by either the principal holder or dependents.
* Dependents: Participants can bring their spouse, children (up to 21 years old, extendable to 34 if unmarried and unemployed), and parents or parents-in-law .
* Application Process: Applications must be submitted through accredited agents. The process and specific requirements might be further detailed as the implementation progresses.

Additional Notes
* Age Requirement: The minimum age for applicants has been lowered from 35 to 30 years.
* Implementation: The details are being introduced in stages, and further clarifications on income or other asset requirements are expected to be announced soon.
