How do I change or correct a passenger's name?
Airline tickets cannot be transferred to another individual; the name on the ticket must match the government-issued photo ID each passenger will present at check-in. If you purchased a disclosed fare (flights disclosed pre purchase) and the tickets were purchased within the past 24-hours, consider using the "Cancel Itinerary" link within your online itinerary (not available on all tickets) or call us to inquire about a cancellation. You'll then need to make a new purchase, but this is a far less costly and complicated alternative to an airline name correction.

Once payment is submitted to the airline, typically about 24-hours after purchase, your airline's name correction policy and fees will apply. Priceline has no control over airline name correction policies or fees.

If it's been more than 24-hours since you've made your purchase, your travel should not be impacted for the following scenarios; however, it really depends upon the itinerary and the airline:

Used maiden name instead of married name - If travel is domestic, you may be able to present a valid government-issued ID and marriage certificate to pass through security. Please check with your airline and the airport(s) TSA office to confirm.
Misspelled Name by two letters or less - If travel is domestic, most airlines and the TSA will allow you to board/pass through security. Please check with your airline and the airport(s) TSA office to confirm.
Hyphenated name merged into single name - Airline booking systems automatically remove hyphens and combine the name. This is not a problem on either domestic or international tickets.
Forgot to add suffix or middle name - Omitting this information should not impact your ability to pass through security whether on an international or a domestic flight.
For the above issues, contact your airline to confirm.

For all other name issues, contact us and we'll be happy to contact your ticketed airline to inquire about a name correction (when allowed, fees will apply!).

Questions about schedule changes?
Airlines, for various reasons, will adjust your itinerary, most commonly flight times, prior to your departure. If your itinerary undergoes a schedule change, we will notify you of the changes via email. In addition, we recommend that travelers confirm their flights and check-in location directly with the airline prior to each departure. If a schedule change results in an unacceptable itinerary, please call us as soon as possible.

Exchange Guidance
Exchange rules and fees vary by airline and type of fare purchased. Your airline's rules and fees associated with your ticket can be reviewed within your online itinerary. If your airline's fare rules allow an itinerary change, it will need to be done before your first flight departs.

Here are some guidelines to facilitate the process:

Identify your new travel dates and desired itinerary, then call us to complete your exchange. The price for your new itinerary may be different than your original ticket. You will be responsible for the difference in fares plus your airline's change fee.
If the new fare is lower, consider calling your airline directly for the change. We do not have the ability to offer airline travel vouchers (so any decrease is lost if we process the change for you).
Name changes, including corrections/adjustments and transfers, are not permitted.
We do not have the ability to override an airline's rules, airfares or change fees.
Not ready to book a new reservation? Some airlines will allow you to cancel your existing reservation and retain the value of the ticket as a future travel credit (on that airline).
As with exchanges, the cancellation of your itinerary must be made pre-travel.

Traveling with pets, even emotional support animals (ESAN), is not permitted, neither in the cabin (PETC) nor in the hold of the plane (AVIH). Only assistance dogs (SVAN) are allowed as long as they are properly documented.

An assistance animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to perform tasks to help a person with a physical, sensory, mental, or intellectual disability.

It's important to have travel insurance that covers you and your group for the entire time you are on your trip. Your policy should cover emergency medical situations as well as baggage loss or damage and expenses incurred from disrupted travel plans.

Vaccinations

You will need to comply with the health requirements of the country/region you will be visiting. Consult with your doctor about any health requirements you will need before you travel at least 6 weeks prior to departure.

Medication

We recommend you carry any medication in your hand baggage. This would include medication that you cannot easily purchase in the country that you are travelling to.

You should ensure that you have sufficient prescription medications to cover your trip and any potential delays. Remember to bring a prescription or letter from your doctor and remember to carry any prescription medication in your hand baggage.

In order to minimize contact with surfaces and to facilitate boarding and disembarking, we recommend that you reduce the amount of hand luggage to one piece, of the smallest dimensions possible.

Please check that your hand baggage or checked baggage complies with the dimensions/weight allowed. You can find information on the Baggage page.

Extra bags

If you've bought gifts for your friends and family and have no more space in your luggage, you can still purchase additional bags online. You can do this on My Booking. Do this before you get to the airport as it will be cheaper.

05/11/2021

We recommend check-in online and having your boarding pass issued before arriving at the airport, and, if possible, downloading it to your smartphone to minimize physical contact.

When check-in, you must also fill in the Advanced Passenger Information (API) form. This is mandatory information which the authorities require before the date of travel, and the airline is responsible for collecting it.

Advanced Passenger Information (APIs)

This information is required by governments before starting a journey. It is collected by LEVEL and transferred to the authorities in a secure way. You can complete Advanced Passenger Information at the My Booking section. Please remember to keep your passport close at hand since you'll need to provide specific information.

Even if you intend to check in at the airport, you should still fill in the API form online in advance.

If you're travelling on a flight to or from the U.S.A.

You also need to provide:

ESTA approval: you may well have to apply for an Electronic System Travel Authorisation (ESTA)
Your address in the U.S. for the first night's stay (except for citizens or residents of the U.S.A)
Your redress number (if applicable). The redress number is a reference number issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to travellers who have previously experienced difficulties obtaining entry to the U.S.A

05/11/2021

Passports and VISA

Make sure you have a valid passport and all other documentation required to enter all the countries you will be visiting including transit countries and for returning home. Remember, if you arrive at the airport without the required documents, you will not be allowed to board your flight.
