In my last few years as a travel agent, I’ve heard a lot of misconceptions. But these are probably the biggest ones:1️⃣ Fees: Do some agents charge fees? Yes. (That doesn’t mean they’re trying to scam you-it’s just their business model. Personally, I don’t charge fees so working with me doesn’t cost my clients anything g extra. 2️⃣ Upselling: Do I sometimes suggest an upgrade or an add-on. Yes. But I will only suggest something that I believe will truly add value to your trip! I don’t believe you should be spending more money than necessary to craft the vacation that’s right for you. 3️⃣ Control: While I’ll make the actual booking for you, YOU are the one who ultimately makes the decisions. I don’t book things without your consent, I don’t make plans that you HAVE to follow. I make recommendations and give you knowledge that empower you to make the choices for your vacation! 4️⃣ This is a big one. All TAs are not the same. I can’t speak for everyone else, but I know what kind of training I’ve been through and I know the caliber of Fairytale Journeys Travel. We are among the top agencies for Disney and Universal travel for a reason. We are trained to be good at what we do! The travel industry is highly UNregulated, so please be sure you are working with a reputable agency (don’t be afraid to ask for a reference, just like you might do with a mechanic, doctor, hairdresser, or child care provider!)5️⃣ Relevance: Yes, you can do all your own research and book everything yourself in the very little free time you have. But do you want to? Just like we might “outsource” things like car repairs, hair cuts, housework, etc, you can outsource your vacation research and prep work to me! We had a great experience at our local libraries, Mobile Passport event today! It was really quick and we didn’t even have to make an appointment. Now we’re all set to go with our travel documents for our cruise this upcoming spring break.It is true that Disney Cruise line does not require passports for closed loop cruises. (that’s when the cruise departs and returns to the same U.S. port). However, if there is an emergency and you need to leave the ship or you’re not able to get back on the ship after an excursion, you’re going to be in some trouble if you don’t have a passport and you’re stuck in a foreign country. But make sure when you go to get those passports, you read up ahead of time about exactly what is required. Birth certificates, drivers licenses, Social Security numbers, etc. but also what forms of payment are excepted getting your ducks in a row before you leave your house is going to make the process a lot smoother!#ftjbyamyknee #ftjtravel #fairytalejourneystravel #TravelAgent #Passports #disneycruiseline

There are a few reasons to choose DisneyLAND in California over Disney World in Florida. You might want to head to DisneyLAND if…1️⃣ If you feel completely overwhelmed by Disney World, even after talking with your Travel Agent. Any Disney vacation can be a lot, but there are fewer parks to figure out at Disneyland which means fewer decisions to make, so you might find it more manageable.2️⃣ You only have 3-5 days for your vacation. Now CAN you spend an entire week at Disneyland? Absolutely. However, with just the 2 theme parks, it is a lot more reasonable to say you’re only going to do a 3 or 4 day ticket and still feel like you were able to experience most of what you wanted to do.3️⃣ Your family is big fans of the movie Cars or the Avengers! Here are some things to know about Deluxe Resorts at Disney World:1️⃣ They offer larger rooms, which is especially nice if you have a stroller or ECV to store during the week. They also offer suites and 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom villa options larger families or multi-family/multi-generational groups2️⃣ They allow guests to experience Extended Evening Hours—a free perk to Deluxe resort guests only when select parks stay open for an additional 2 hours on certain nights of the week. Lines are so short during EEH!3️⃣ They typically offer more dining options in the form of multiple table service restaurants (although that’s not a hard and fast rule!)4️⃣ They have multiple pools including a more family friendly pool with a water slide and poolside kids activities and “quiet” pools that have a more relaxed vibe. 5️⃣ Some Deluxe resorts are super close to the parks—within walking distance—or have great transportation options like the Skyliner or ferry boats (which is my personal favorite mode of Disney transportation!)Now, are they worth it? Because yes, they do come with a larger price tag. Vacation budgets are always a matter of balancing money vs. convenience. What is important to you and your family? BIG changes are coming to Genie+ at Walt Disney World! First up is changes to what we’re calling everything: ✨Genie+ Lightning Lane ➡️ “Lightning Lane Multi Pass” ✨Individual Lightning Lane ➡️ “Lightning Lane Single Pass” But the really big change is that staring July 24, guests will be able to book 3 Multi Passes and up to 2 Single Passes in advance of their park visit! Guests of a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, Shades of Green and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts will be able to make selections 7 days prior to their hotel check-in date for park day of their vacation! Other guests will be able to make advance selections 3 days prior to their park visit. In addition, guests will be able to purchase, Genie+, choose their Multi Passes and their Single Passes in the same transaction, making the whole process just a little simpler! Universal Orlando provides free transportation to its theme parks and some hotels are even within walking distance to the parks! Don’t feel with parking if you don’t have to! ALSO, you’ll get Early Admission into one of the parks (giving you a leg up on rope dropping Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure!)2️⃣ Express Pass: The best way to get Express Pass, IMO is to stay at a Premier Hotel because you’ll get free Express Unlimited for the duration of your stay! But if a Premier Hotel isn’t in the budget, consider getting Express Pass for at least a day! It’s such a time saver and will give you an overall better experience!3️⃣ Shows: Don’t get so caught up in all the amazing thrill rides that you forget about the shows and character experiences at Universal! The Universal Horror Makeup show is very cool! Or check out Oh the Stories You’ll Hear! in Seuss Landing!4️⃣ Try to keep your backpack on the smaller side. Many of the rides at Universal require you to store you belongings in a free locker outside the ride.
