🎬 Rope Dropping Disney World’s Hollywood Studios? Here are my Top 3 Rides to Rope Drop at Hollywood Studios:1️⃣ Slinky Dog Dash: This ride will have waits of 60+ minutes all day and it is usually the first to seek out of Lightning Lanes. If you’re not able to secure a Lightning Lane for it, head here first!2️⃣ Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: Personally, I would suggest buying a Lightning Lane for Rise. But if not, and you have a Slinky LL, rope drop this!3️⃣ Tower of Terror OR Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway: Tower of Terror is nice to get out of the way during Early Entry because it’s right near the front of the park. But if those drops aren’t your thing, or you have a LL for this and Slinky, hit up MMRR first. 4️⃣ & 5️⃣: You may have noticed two popular rides missing from my list—Rock n Toller Coaster is across from Tower of Terror, so if it’s still open, feel free to hop on after ToT (Rock n Roller Coaster is closing sometime this year). 🛸And then there is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. I prioritize MMRR because the LLs sell out faster during the day than they do on Millennium Falcon AND there is Single Rider option for Millennium Falcon that you could utilize if you’re not purchasing Lightning Lanes.➡️NOW. 🔦Spotlight Sunday: 💭🌙 DreamWorks Land at Universal Orlando 🌙💭When this land opened last summer it was DESPERATELY needed here at Universal Orlando! While Islands of Adventure had an area themed to Dr. Suess, Universal Studios didn’t have much for littles. But DreamWorks Land has definitely changed that! While the Trollercoaster is super cute, the character Meet and Greets are great, and I’m sure kids will have a blast in the water play areas, I do think it could do with another ride or 2–maybe a carousel or swings-type ride? I see these same mistakes time and time again from people visiting Disney World for the first time:1️⃣ Overplanning: Disney World is huge and there is so much to do! It’s just simply impossible to do it all so don’t make the mistake of trying to pack too much into your day and never resting.2️⃣ Underplanning: On the other hand, its also important to go into the trip with at least a solid outline of your most important wishes for each day. Not having a plan often means you’ll wind up overwhelmed without doing anything you wanted to do in the first place.3️⃣ Not understanding Lightning Lanes: This one is HUGE. Even if you don’t end up purchasing them, it is so important to understand what Lightning Lanes are and how they work BEFORE you arrive. (Luckily for my clients, I provide a written guide, walking them through all the details PLUS I offer a pre-travel call to talk through any questions they might have).4️⃣ Not planning for rest: I think everybody is aware that Disney can be exhausting. It’s so important to build rest days or midday breaks into your itinerary. And on a similar note, if you have kids under the age of nine, go ahead and rent that stroller. 📖✨Storytime✨📖I was working with a client this week who had a smaller budget for her Disney World vacation so we started looking at value hotels like the All-Stars and Pop Century resorts. But then I change my filters to look at moderate resorts as well. It turns out, that with the current available discounts and promotions, a moderate hotel was only going to be a little over $100 more for the entire week. And for that $100 she would get a larger hotel room, more restaurant options, plus a larger pool with a waterslide! even if you have a smaller budget, you may not want to limit yourself to looking at just value hotels. Depending on the available discounts, you might find an even better deal at a moderate or even a deluxe hotel because Disney often tiers their discounts (so Deluxe hotels get the highest percentage off and Values get the lowest percentage off). You might find that a hotel with more amenities is a better “value” than the Value Hotel itself!
