Travel Tip Tuesday

* Saturdays: According to CBS News, Saturday is the best day to rent a car because of the high rate of people who reserve a rental car for Saturday and don’t show up to claim it. If you reserve the cheapest car at the lowest rate for Saturday and actually show up, you’ll have better than normal chance of getting a deal or a free upgrade.

Message from Atlantis

Dear Valued Guest,

Last month, we announced Atlantis’ phased reopening beginning July 7. We made this decision knowing we are well prepared, our team members are extremely professional, and we would be able to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of every guest and team member that walks through our doors. We thank you for the overwhelming response from our loyal guests like you.

Since we made that decision, the COVID-19 virus shifted from a steady decline to a recent surge in many of our key markets. From the start of the pandemic, we have taken the lead in being vigilant in following the guidance and direction shared by The Bahamas Ministry of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. It is our responsibility as stakeholders in the community, and to our guests, team members, and partners alike, to continue our vigilance. For these reasons and out of an abundance of caution, Atlantis Paradise Island has moved its reopening date to July 30. Please see our updated travel policy on our website at AtlantisBahamas.com/travel-updates.

None of the decisions made these last months have been easy ones. However, they all have been guided by our core values of integrity, passion, commitment, and courage. Continued vigilance, determination, and strength will keep us moving forward and healthy together.

We look forward to welcoming your clients back to Atlantis soon.

Stay healthy, stay well.

Now open: Las Vegas casinos & resorts
Now open: Las Vegas casinos & resorts
Viva Las Vegas. Everyone’s favorite gambling town just reopened many of its popular casinos, resorts and attractions on June 4.
While there's no domestic travel restrictions for Vegas, U.S. visitors should expect social distancing guidelines and other measures to be in place around town, including at McCarran International Airport. For more on what to expect, visit our Las Vegas guide.Whether you want to gamble all night or treat the family to great attractions and entertainment, you’ll find your favorite activities here.

Las Vegas, known for gambling and bright lights, also offers family-friendly entertainment and attractions. Stroll along The Strip at night and marvel at dozens of high-end casinos, many with attractive fountains, themed features and street-side entertainment.

Gambling developed in the early days of Las Vegas to attract men constructing the nearby Boulder Dam. Learn about the intertwined history of gambling and crime in Las Vegas and across America at the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, aka the Mob Museum.

Today dozens of casinos offer legal gambling, from penny slot machines to high-stakes tables, but you don’t have to gamble to enjoy Las Vegas. Entertainment ranges from Cirque du Soleil to comedy acts, magic shows and big-name performers, including Celine Dion and Britney Spears.

Gaze at the city’s one-of-a-kind structures. The Stratosphere Tower offers views from 1,149 feet (350 meters) in the air as well as catapults, sky jumps and free-fall rides from the dizzying height. See a half-scale Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and replicas of the Statue of Liberty and buildings from the Manhattan skyline at New York New York Hotel.

The Bellagio’s fountains provide outstanding water shows with lights and music. Enjoy the conservatory and botanical gardens of this Italian-style hotel. See more than 2,000 marine animals at the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. The Fremont Street Experience has zip-line rides and free nightly light shows. Enjoy 25 rides and attractions at the Adventuredome at Circus Circus. Visit 160 shops and restaurants at the Forum at Caesars Palace.

Experience outdoor adventures in less than a 1-hour drive from the neon lights of Las Vegas. Hike in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and explore the Mojave Desert. See the engineering marvel of Hoover Dam, formerly Boulder Dam, and its man-made Lake Mead.

The city proudly promises, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Make a visit to Las Vegas and you’ll want to stay here too.
