Done with your Gran Fondo?
So… what’s the plan? Are you just going to wait for the next fondo? next event? next ride?
Use yesterday’s event to ramp up your cycling experience!
I know we all got tired from doing a 100km+ ride… rain or shine.. ahon o patag.. kape at kain…
We all listened to our body. Let’s continue to do that! Hoping that these tips will get you going throughout the week… until your next ride!
1. Rehydration is very important! Our body is a machine and water is one maintenance tool that keeps it running smoothly.
2. Active movement is necessary to ease soreness, pain and pave the way to faster recovery. Don’t just sit and lie down the whole day. MOVE!
3. Either go for a “recovery” ride (10-20kms) easy pace or cross train and try different activities! Helps the mind and body not to be exhausted from all the load yesterday.
4. Food, just like water, is another tool that keeps our body in good condition. If your paying tons of money for fuel/gas, make sure you treat yourself also with high “octane” food!
5. Sharing the experience makes our confidence high, our ego at ease and our mental state calm. Give yourself and others that par on the back and celebrate our victory!
