In 2017, I got a ping from the universe calling me to explore the world It was one of those calls that was so clear and so strong it was undeniable At first, my plan was to move abroad, teach English for one year, then come back to the US and build a life for myself with a home and career Little did I know that the idea of one year abroad turned into seven years globetrotting all around the world In the first year, I went to Mexico to get trained to become an ESL teacher then got hired for a job teaching English in Hong Kong Hong Kong was a beautiful bustling place, a city that doesn’t sleep. Within a few months, I quickly learned that living in big cities wasn’t for me. All along my heart knew my deepest desire. Deep down, I knew that I wanted the freedom to travel and experience multiple countries, I just didn’t know how that was possible. Luckily, my roommate in Hong Kong had a side hustle teaching online and as soon as I discovered online teaching, I knew it was my ticket to explore the world on my own terms A few months later with one backpack, a laptop, a remote job, a heart full of courage, and energy full of excitement, I embarked on what would become a seven year journey working remotely and exploring the most beautiful corners of the world. Life is an interesting thing. It can literally end in an instant. We are living, and then in an instant we are dead. While we are living, we don’t think about this too often. But the truth is, something can happen and our lives, at least here in earth, can be over tomorrow. This is fuel to live life to the fullest TODAY. We’ve got nothing to loose.
