Keep an eye out for some fun upcoming travel with the ToP Team and if you’re in Nashville or Asheville this weekend, come find us and say hello!
Anybody out there heading down to Rio for Taylor Swift? Let’s have a few caipirinhas before the show.
Happy travels to everyone!
Do you visit the local markets when you travel? From fruits and vegetables to fish and meats, these are often the best spots to find the freshest foods.
Especially if you have access to a kitchen where you’re staying, a trip to the market is a great idea.
These pics and videos are from two different markets in Varna, Bulgaria, and they are both open seven days a week.

One last little video I recorded the other night in a very rainy Sighisoara, Romania, under my favorite little travel umbrella, which I only have because of a credit card benefit.
We often talk about the multiplier categories, the welcome bonuses, and the big, flashy benefits for the high end credit cards in the travel space. But some of the smaller benefits deserve a little love too.
For example, the benefit I’m talking about in this video. The Platinum Card from American Express offers a $50 credit twice per year on purchases made at Saks. You can use it once January to June and a second time between July and December.
Some people may just ignore this benefit because they don’t normally shop at Saks or because most items there seem to be quite expensive.
What you need to remember though, is that this is basically a free $100 per year. If you take a bit of time, you’re sure to find something that can be of use to you. Maybe a travel umbrella?
If you want to learn more about The Platinum Card from American Express and all of its benefits, follow the link in our bio over to the blog and search “Amex Platinum”.

Have you been to Sighisoara? If so, did you spend the night or just visit for part of a day?
This is actually the third time I’ve spent the night behind the city walls of an old town here in Europe. The first two were in Toledo, Spain, and Carcassonne, France.
Every time it’s been magical when the city clears out and it’s just down to a few people wandering through the stone streets after dark, in the glow of the streetlights and the moon.
Take a look at our next post to see the beautiful and mostly empty streets of Sighisoara, Romania.

Well, hello there!
Apologies in advance if I butchered the name of this town. Saying things in Romanian is definitely not one of my strengths.
I’m currently one week into a month long trip to France, Romania, and Bulgaria, and I’m excited to share some of it with you.
Oh yeah, you’ll also be seeing me around the Travel on Point(s) community a bit more than in the past. I’m excited to work with such an amazing team to help all of you travel the world for less!
Let me know in the comments if you’d like to know anything else about me or it you have questions about my trip.
If you want to see the other parts of my trip that don’t make sense here, like beer and other shenanigans, be sure to follow me over at @milesandpints too.
