New review after our recent stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort - a tropical themed moderate-level onsite hotel with a huge footprint, multiple pools, and access to the skyliner.
Pros:
- The main pool was a hit and I could see the adorable splash pad area being great for those with younger kids.
- I loved the quick service options from Centertown Market especially their kid’s chicken bowl (aka Jerk Chicken with rice & black beans) and it was plenty for an adult to have as a meal for less than $10.
- Our Aruba location in building 54 was close to the Riviera Resort - a gorgeous deluxe resort with Topolino’s Terrace at the top.
- Having access to the skyliner (which was just a 5-7 min walk) was awesome do get to Hollywood & Epcot.
Cons:
- Huge resort - lost & lots of walking!
With 24 buildings split into 6 island themed villages, it was quite easy to get lost & walking to the main lobby/building took at least 15 minutes.
- Rooms feel dated - while a refresh has taken place there were a few things like the dark wood tone and the tv not offering the ability to connect to stream. It said it was available on the actual tv but every time we tried the tv said it wasn’t connected to the WiFi.
- When is my bus stop?? Again due to it’s size and 6 separate island areas, sometimes the ride to your stop takes awhile. Our first evening we were the last stop and it took at least 15 mins to get from the first stop to our stop and I saw it take longer on other days when mobility devices were in use. Not a deal breaker for us as sitting in the AC bus is still better than walking far after a long park day.
First 2024 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was even better than expected! If you haven’t yet, let me know when you want to go and I’ll help you book your trip! Remember it’s free to you - Disney pays me after your stay and I can help you get the best deals since agents are notified as soon as they come out!
Recap below if you are interested…
Florida is rainy & per cast members it’s not a true party night unless you get some rain. If you haven’t ridden 7 dwarfs mine train in a heavy rainstorm let me tell you it was a blast. New level unlocked!
😂 Cast members and performers were all on point. I loved introducing my favorite part “the gravediggers” in the parade to my son and we both loved seeing Oogie Boogie dance on stage with the Sanderson Sisters. That oogie can boogie!
Then right before meeting Mickey to wrap up our night my son loses a tooth in the candy store. Thank you to the awesome ladies there who got us a little bag to put it in for safe keeping before the tooth fairy could get it.
There were so many memories made last night. Best birthday trip ever!
