✨🪄The wand chooses the wizard, you know, and everything about visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is like stepping straight into the movies and books - even the wands! Here are a few helpful tips for aspiring wizards to know before hitting these areas of both parks:

🪄⚡ Interactive vs Standard Wands: Not all wands are created equally so be sure to choose wisely based on what you want to do. Interactive wands are pricier but there are lots of spell locations throughout both parks (marked by medallions on the ground) where you can put your wizarding skills to the test.

Ollivanders Wand Shop: For the serious fans, this is a special place. Small groups are taken into the shop and a lucky one will be chosen to go through a wand selection. Even if you aren’t chosen, you will find wands for all the beloved (and villainous) characters. 🐍⚡

🗺️🪄 Spell Locations: There are more than 20 areas through the Wizarding World where you can test out your skills with an interactive wand, which comes with a map of spell locations. A word of warning, many of these are tough to get just right 😅 so don’t get discouraged. There are usually Team Members around to help if you need a little extra assistance.

🌱✨ If you are a Living with the Land fan, then you have GOT to check out the Behind the Seeds tour! This backstage tour of the popular EPCOT attraction is as fun as it is informative. Even better, as compared to many tours at Disney, it won’t break the bank and isn’t a huge time commitment. Pricing at $39 per person (before tax) and just an hour long, it will leave you wanting more AND leave enough change in your pocket to head upstairs to Garden Grill for some dinner! 🛳️💰 A vacation is an investment, right? And let’s be real—a Disney Cruise Line vacation can feel like a BIG investment. You want to make sure it’s absolutely perfect. I’ve got you! Let’s break down a few ways to make sure you’re planning the ultimate Disney cruise:

🌴 Itinerary: There are a LOT of options. The Caribbean is a big place, so make sure you know if you want Eastern or Western. Or are you in it for the scenery of Alaska or the Mediterranean.

🛏️ Stateroom: I know we all THINK the room is just a place to sleep, but when you’re sharing 169 square feet it can feel small even with your eyes closed. Not having natural light is also a deal breaker for many. Be selective with the room!

🎨 Activities: There are SO many! Download the Disney Cruise Line app before boarding. That’s where you’ll access everything happening onboard. You can even favorite the activities you want to do, and you’ll get a reminder notification a little before it starts. Enjoy activities like trivia, Bingo, character meet and greets, animation classes, crafts, and more.

Sigh, it’s hard for me to talk about the sweetness of Disneyland’s Toontown and not get sentimental for the Walt Disney World version that we lost a few years ago during the Magic Kingdom Fantasyland reimagining. 🏰 What Mickey Mouse fan 🐭 doesn’t dream of popping into Mickey’s neighborhood and visiting his house 🏠 like you would an old friend?

With play areas, character interactions, a shop 🛍️, and fun dining options, this is the perfect area for families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, animation fans, and anyone looking for a spot to slow down and rest a bit. 🌳 Who else wishes a version of this would return to Walt Disney World? 🙋‍♀️

🚗 Does a traditional Lyft ride cost less than a Minnie Van? Yes.
📱 Can I order traditional Lyft rides from the app while in Disney? Yes.
💰 Should I splurge for a Minnie Van instead? Also, YES!

There may be times when you just need to get from Point A to Point B faster than the buses 🚌 or water taxis 🚤 can go. There may be times when you just want a quiet ride all to yourselves. Minnie Vans are super easy to order via the Lyft app, and your driver will be a Disney Cast Member with a wealth of knowledge, great stories, and typically some fun Disney tunes or videos playing. It’s a great way to feel like you have a personal “backstage pass” while you relax and get to your destination in style...and impeccable air conditioning. ➡️ Who has given a Minnie Van a shot?

A big family Walt Disney World trip means big fun, but finding the perfect place to stay can feel tricky. Luckily, Disney has options for every budget and need. Let’s break it down:

✨ Deluxe Villas: For luxury, amenities, and park proximity, Disney Vacation Club villas offer 1, 2, and 3-bedroom options with full kitchens and laundry 🧺. Some are even within walking distance of the parks, making them a magical home-away-from-home! Anyone can book stays in these, DVC membership not required!

💸 Value Resort Family Suites: If budget is the priority, check out Art of Animation and All-Star Music family suites. They sleep 6, have 2 full bathrooms, 3 sleeping surfaces, a kitchenette, and a living area. Affordable, fun, and perfect for families!

🛏️ Multiple Standard Rooms: If you are happy with 2 queen beds (sometimes these sleep 5 with a child-sized bed) and 1 bathroom, then you can stay basically anywhere. Book however many rooms you need, and I’ll even make sure to let Disney know that you are all traveling together to try and get the rooms as close together as possible. ✨

Walt Disney World’s Blizzard Beach Water Park has reopened with some magical upgrades! If you’ve been considering using the free water park day perk on your check-in day instead of heading to the resort pool, the new features might just make it worth your while, especially if you’re traveling with young Frozen fans. ❄️

The Tykes Peak splash area now has "Frozen"-themed touches featuring Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, perfect for little ones and some great photo ops. 📸 Plus, new menu items have been added that might even rival the popular sand pail ice cream sundae.

You can also take a short walk to Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course to use the Magical Extra voucher for a free round of mini golf. ⛳ It’s a great way to add even more fun to your day without spending extra.

🎉 One week ago, I crossed the finish line at the Walt Disney World Marathon, officially completing the D***y Challenge! That’s 48.6 magical miles over four days: a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. 🏅
