My View right now….
The Majestic Colonial - Punta Cana
Totally recommendthis resort. We were married here 9 years ago and have been back 2 times since. By far my favourite resort in Punta Cana.
Resort is full but you would never know - can always get a chair at the beach or pool.
Looking to get away let me know!
Acouple of notes from yesterday’s announcement and how it effects us:
Two dates:
• 9 August – Fully vaccinated Americans can enter Canada
• 7 Sept – Fully vaccinated international travelers can enter Canada.
Points to remember:
• The USA has not opened its land border to Canadians as of today.
• As before, Canadians can enter the US via air. If travelling to the US, an Antigen test is required within 72 hrs of your flight along with an attestation form. These documents will need to be shown to the airline prior to boarding.
Effective 09 August the following changes take effect for Canadians returning to Canada:
• Arrive Can App will need to be filled out prior to boarding the return flight home. Airlines will be responsible to check.
• 3-day mandatory hotel stay for non-vaccinated travelers will be eliminated. The 14-day quarantine is still in effect at their residents or alternate accommodations
• Children under 12 who are traveling with vaccinated adults will not have to quarantine for the 14 days. They, however, will be restricted from attending group sessions like school and daycare. I suspect more information to clarify this in the coming weeks.
• A PCR test is still required within 72 hrs prior to their return.
• Vaccinated travelers will be randomly selected to do a PCR test upon arrival to Canada
• Unvaccinated travelers will be required to do a PCR test upon arrival into Canada and complete an at home test on day 7 of their quarantine.
Five airports have been added to the list of being able to accept international and cross border flights. Halifax, Quebec City, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Edmonton. Others could be added when they meet the requirements from Transport Canada.
