In winter of 2025, we’re not going to Africa - but to A Coruña instead. After 4 months of boat and project upgrades (to make comfort, engineering, and organization even better), we’ll have a short April season in Galicia.

What’s included:
• Atlantic coast passages
• Deep fjords with medieval ports
• Watercolor workshop with
• Three marine reserve archipelagos
• Lush greenery and rocky shores
• Oysters, fish, Albariño, and much more.

And the new pricing that already includes ship’s fund: diesel, and marinas.

All the details: follow the link in bio.

Seasickness. An uninvited guest aboard any yacht. It doesn’t ask for permission and doesn’t choose its victims. The main rule? Don’t resist. Your body is trying to synchronize with the rhythm of the sea.

But you can prepare. Here are some preventive steps to help reduce the chances of seasickness before you set sail:

Stay rested: Fatigue can make you more susceptible to motion sickness, so make sure to get a good night’s sleep before your journey.
Light meals: Avoid heavy, greasy, or spicy foods. Stick to something light and easy on the stomach before setting off.
Position matters: Stay in the center of the boat where there is the least motion, and keep your eyes on the horizon. It can help your brain better sync with the boat’s movement.
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water, but avoid alcohol or caffeine, as they can contribute to dehydration and worsen symptoms.
Ginger or acupressure bands: Ginger is a natural remedy that can help settle the stomach, while acupressure bands apply gentle pressure to specific points to reduce nausea.
Medication: If you know you’re prone to seasickness, there are over-the-counter or prescription medications designed to prevent symptoms. Take them before the voyage begins for best results.

Remember: this will pass. And one day, you’ll feel your body starting to move in unison with the waves.

If you come to Bolama on a sailboat, you need to stay on anchorage: the main pier is small and dries out at low water (while the tidal range is some 5 meters in syzygy).

The town itself it drastically different from all other places on archipelago and on the mainland: these are the beauty of classical portuguese architecture of 19th century partly ruined, partly in an orange dust, but still very impressive.

The old palace, stone houses with balconies, a water tower, small bars and shops, street vendors selling ready-made food and fruits, children playing, all this surrounded with tropical vegetation. You may have a deep talk with an old local, or catch some mangoes that teenagers drop from above after climbing the tree. Never know what to expect.

We will visit Bolama several times during the season 7.

In the ocean, you realize — any small thing can become a source of joy.
Just look at it differently.
Yesterday’s pancakes?
A perfect excuse for a cake — appreciating the little things and turning the ordinary into something special.

When Winter Arrives in the Northern Hemisphere, We Set Course for the South.

The Great Gambia River.
An ocean yacht in a river is like a whale in a pond. Unusual, thrilling, and demanding exceptional skill. The tidal currents here are not just a natural phenomenon, but a real challenge for the navigator. Every turn of the helm is a dialogue with the river.

The Senegambia Bridge - a special test on our journey. Passage under it is only possible at low tide, and it’s a kind of gateway to the depths of Gambia. Every centimetre counts here, and we feel the yacht holding its breath as it slips under the massive structure.
The river journey is an immersion into a world of amazing nature. The banks are fringed with mangrove thickets and majestic baobabs. This is a kingdom of birds — their incredible diversity astonishes even seasoned ornithologists. And at night, the silence is sometimes broken by the distant roar of hippos — the elusive masters of the river, more often heard than seen.

This journey is not a tourist route. It’s an immersion into an Africa hidden from the eyes of ordinary travellers. An Africa where each bend of the river opens a new page in the remarkable story of nature and humanity.

The magnetism of the sea. The allure of adventure. The Xploration team is growing, and fantastic people find us on their own. Like water finding its way to the ocean. They appear at just the right moment. Like a favorable wind in a calm. And we’re thrilled about it.

Soon we’ll unveil the details of Season 7.
We’ve already touched the magic of these places. Our previous reconnaissance only whetted our appetite for exploration. We’ve navigated rivers, peered into mangrove thickets, felt the breath of the desert and the whisper of tropical forests. Now we’re returning to dive deeper. To see more. To understand better.

Faroe Islands

Here, you feel like an explorer, even if you’re just looking around.
Perola do Mar appears as a tiny speck against the backdrop of majestic cliffs and a waterfall. But this isn’t the main optical illusion here. Just above the frame lies Lake Sørvágsvatn, or Leitisvatn - the largest in the Faroe Islands. From the right angle, it seems to float above the ocean. In reality, though, the lake is only 30 meters above sea level. Magic!

The Faroes were part of Season 5, which is nearing its end (Greenland is still to come!). But we might return here in a year as part of Season 9. Stay tuned for updates!

We take great pleasure in crafting beautiful meals, especially when our crew is plentiful.

In those bustling moments, we often enlist the culinary prowess of two chefs to ensure a swift and delicious feast.

However, when the sea puts on a lively dance, a trio takes charge in the galley. The third member becomes the orchestrator of balance, ensuring every dish reaches the table without a spill, even in the midst of the boat's rhythmic motion.
