Welcome on board ICON of the Seas! Prepare to be wowed on board! I will share a bit each day to give you a glimpse of the beauty of this ship. It is AMAZING! This morning I strolled through Central Park. It is one of my favorite areas of the Oasis class ships, and continues to be a relaxing oasis on Icon! Central Park Cafe has nice selections for quick bites. Lots of other specialty restaurants available as well.

I spent this weekend with my daughter, attending an Open House for James Madison University! If you find yourself heading to Harrisonburg, the Hotel Madison was a great choice!

The hotel is located ext to the Admissions building and shares a parking garage. I paid $5 to park and have in and out privileges all weekend.

The room was very comfortable, and with black out curtains, we were able to take a serious nap yesterday afternoon!

While breakfast is not included, the is both a coffee shop, with ala carte pricing and a small restaurant with a small and reasonably priced breakfast buffet. My daughter said it ranks up high for her preferred hotels.

There is a full bar and seating on the ground floor and 2nd floor lobby areas.

Holiday travel inevitably means long airport wait times. With the holiday season just around the corner, millions of Americans are getting ready to face the crowds at airports. Are seeing the Northern lights on your bucket list??? It was on mine, and I saw them tonight in Virginia Beach! I love that even in Alabama my aunt was able to capture some!! So very cool!
