Jambo! We are thrilled to announce that Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has finally re-opened! We love everything about this resort, from theming to dining to activities this resort is truly Disney at it's BEST!

🚨 Breaking Disney news! 🚨 Walt Disney World and Disneyland are revamping their entire guest experience in the parks. This is just the beginning of Disney rolling out big news, read on to find out why there has never been a better time to have an ET Family Travel agent to help you plan your next visit to the Walt Disney World or Disneyland!

Here’s what we know so far:

🎟 FastPass (WDW) and MaxPass (DL) as we knew them are *not* returning

🧞‍♂️Disney Genie will now be the main way guests will experience the parks,  will be built right into MyDisneyExperience, and will track your itinerary. There is NO cost for Disney Genie.

🧞‍♂️✨ Genie+ will be a paid option where guests of both WDW and DL can choose ‘Lightning Lane’ selections, one at a time, throughout the day. (This is most comparable to the old MAXpass system in DL)

🧍‍♂️Genie+ will be optional, as most rides will still have traditional standy queues

💰 In WDW, Genie+ will cost $15/pp per day; in DL it will cost $20/pp per day

🎢In addition to attractions available through Genie+, additional attractions will be available for ala carte purchase; pricing will be based on date, attraction, and park - more details to follow!

🏨 Walt Disney Resort guests can make their Genie+ selections at 7am on the day of their park visit, and/or purchase additional Lightning Lane passes (up to 2 per day). Day guests can access these features once entering the park.

🗓 No word yet on WHEN these changes will go into effect

✨ A new early theme park entry benefit for Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels, giving them the first chance to enjoy select attractions at EVERY theme park, EVERY day.

✨ Guests staying at one of our Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort hotels will also be able to enjoy extended evening hours on select nights in select theme parks.

✨ Be on the lookout for surprise appearances by some favorite Disney pals like Goofy and Pluto, who will be dressed in their EARidescent best and dropping by to visit with guests at Disney Resort hotels!
