In the trees, guided mushroom walks Guided mushroom walks in the forest offer a complete sensory experience for anyone with the desire for a deep, reciprocal relationship with nature

Take a walk with me through the forest and strengthen your relationship with the natural world! Our primary focus will be mushrooms, but fungi are connected to everything in nature. Native trees, plants, birds, slime molds, animals and insects will all become familiar with time spent outside observing. We will explore:
- Mushroom identification, common native species
-Common edible mushrooms
-Medi

cinal mushrooms
-Mycorrhizal, saprobic, and parasitic fungi
-Native plants and trees
-Documenting finds on iNaturalist

Walks will take place in a variety of locations to make sure all ages and abilities have the chance to participate. Distance traveled is usually under 2 miles, moving SLOW, discussing every mushroom we find. Make sure to pack snacks and water (I always recommend the 10 essentials). Email me for inquiries about private foraging classes or if you would like to schedule a “mushroom tour” on your own property! Bri is a citizen mycologist based in the Pacific Northwest dedicated to myco-education. She has years of fieldwork experience and spends most of her time in the central, west Cascades. Her love for fungi inspired her life's work of connecting people to the natural world.
