Switzerland’s largest city, wealthy and venerable for centuries, still under the impression that it is slick, staid, bourgeois. But there is, in fact, another ZĂŒrich, far looser and more playful than the austere façade.
Among the coolest addresses of the city, La RĂ©serve Eden au Lac Zurich, our design hotel by the shores of Lake Zurich.

Think Switzerland’s biggest city is slick, staid, bourgeois and... a bit boring? Think again

AlpenGold Hotel Davos: Where the world meets.
1'560m above the sea-level, in the middle of the natural metropolis of Davos at the edge of the forest, the AlpenGold Hotel surprises with alpine and cosmopolitan values.

Inspired by the pine cones found in the forest above Lake Davos, the hotel - overlooking the mountains and the Landwasser valley - offers a unique view on this natural eden. Inside, alpine materials such as stone and wood bring a warm atmosphere where light and space create new structures that connect the different areas of the hotel in a playful way.

Cosmopolitan, uncompromising and absolutely modern, each guest will feel at home in the spacious rooms with the fresh mountain air wafting through the panoramic windows.

There are places that overwhelm the senses and leave indelible memories. The Crans Ambassador is one of them.
To enter the legendary 5-star hotel in Crans-Montana, is to open wide the doors to a fascinating world, perched before the spectacle of the Swiss Alps carved against the purity of the sky. Dominated by wood, stone and harmonious amber themes, behind the characteristic design of its façade, the hotel’s elegance is nothing short of captivating.

At La Muña, discover the creative Nikkei cuisine. Head to Le Carnotzet to enjoy typical Swiss delicacies, or to Le Lounge for a modern cuisine revisiting local products before lounging at our spa Nescens Beauty. With a 1'300 m2 spa and fitness area and an indoor pool facing the impressive Alps, the mountains become the best place in the world for profound disconnection and rejuvenating one’s energy.

"Zermatt is arguably the most famous mountain town in the world, mainly because it sits in the shadow of the world’s most recognizable mountain, the iconic Matterhorn.

The Mont Cervin Palace and Schweizerhof are my top luxury lodging picks, and both are part of the excellent Michel Reybier Hospitality Group, which also runs the extremely luxurious La Reserve properties in Paris, Zurich, Geneva and St. Tropez. I’ve previously been to the Geneva one, and it is excellent.

The Zermatt properties are more laid back than their urban peers, but the Mont Cervin is the most formal in town, with its high ceilings and marble of a grand hotel. I like the more contemporary Schweizerhof mainly because it has the best array of dining options, as well as a great location and very extensive spa and pool complex with state-of-the-art fitness center, all key accessories for an active, outdoorsy vacation.
The Reybier group also operates the town’s original hotel, the Monte Rosa, which still features the belle epoque decorative style it had when it opened in 1839, and holds a classic English style bar named after Edward Whymper, the first to climb the Matterhorn."

A small awning above the wooden door. A simple brass plate by the entrance. The Hotel Monte Rosa is not a hotel that tries to make a loud statement – it is a place of subtle gestures and spectacular stories. As you enter, a comforting sense of warmth envelops you like a gentle summer breeze.

The original foundation walls from 1839 exude the courage of the first mountaineers, the décor and furnishings the lustre of the belle époque. Again and again that magical moment overcomes you as another door opens onto the past, revealing the rich history of the five generations separating us from Alexander Seiler, the pioneering hotelier who took over a simple wooden chalet more than 160 years ago and under the name of Monte Rosa transformed it into one of the best hotels in the Alps. "Be good to your guests" was his moto and is still Monte Rosa's.

Since 1852 the Mont Cervin Palace is part of Zermatt – and Zermatt is part of the Mont Cervin Palace.
This special connection has grown over 160 years. No cars, just tranquillity, clean air and idyllic mountains, all concentrated in the smallest of spaces. From the Bahnhofsstrasse it is just a stone's throw through the romantic old village centre to the great outdoors. And rising above it all is the Matterhorn.

Offering the ultimate french decadence experience, L’oscar London has been extravagantly restored at the hands of design genius Jacques Garcia Officiel. Each hotel that showcases an interior design by Jacques Garcia is distinguished by a unique and irresistible atmosphere, as exemplified by La RĂ©serve GenĂšve, La RĂ©serve Ramatuelle and La RĂ©serve Paris.

While original biblical Doulton terracotta panels still line the walls at L'oscar, simple pleasures are amplified with bespoke scents by Roja Dove, and leather and velvet-draped walls, as L’oscar now celebrates a more sensual devotion imbued in each detail.

After all, as Jacques Garcia puts it: ‘I am, before everything, a creator of atmosphere.’

In an irony Oscar Wilde would have appreciated, a place of piety has has been transformed into a place of decadence. Our newest property — L’oscar London — holds a long and fascinating history.

Built between 1901 and 1903, in a style coined "Edwardian Free Baroque", it was the London headquarters of the Baptist Church.
Architect Arthur Keen mixed "Wrenaissance" style with Arts & Crafts influences, working with some of the best artists and craftsmen of the time to create much of the exterior and interior design: ornately plastered ceilings, carved fireplaces, oak panelling, and finely worked plaques.

In 2012, its "miraculous" revival began. Given the history and the theatrical tradition of the area, it was only natural that the renowned French designer Jacques Garcia Officiel was chosen to create an attractive interior enhancing the incredible craftsmanship of the place in a typically non-English style.

A hint of irreverence, a nod towards decadence, a touch of the risquĂ©. L’oscar is determined to tempt its guests, gastronomically, visually and tangibly.

Cultivating critical thinking and imagination through literature is the purpose of the Michel Reybier Literary Prize created in 2021. It awards each semester members of the Sciences Po Paris Writer-in-Residence Chair, who assists students in learning to write and in building a space of freedom.

“Literature and culture in general have their place within our vision of the art of living. By creating a community of writers nurturing a connection with our clients, we give them the opportunity to discover the world of authors, to enjoy exchanges with them on different occasions and to learn. Opening the mind and growing is an essential part of my philosophy of life.” - Michel Reybier

Under the high patronage of Karen Reybier, the Michel Reybier Literary Prize wishes to share to the emotion of reading a work and the sense of immediate community that we feel when we meet someone who has experienced the same literary pleasure.

It is indispensable in the education of the younger generation to promote talented writers opening up new perspectives, and thanks to the very international clientele of Michel Reybier Hospitality, we have the opportunity to share the reading of our laureates who are translated into many languages.

Mathias Enard, the third winner, is a real 'page-turner' author. "I laughed, a pleasure rarely afforded by literature; I love his mixture of erudition, virtuosity, and humor, even zaniness. His latest novel - Le Banquet annuel de la Confrérie des fossoyeurs - is a formidable Rabelais-style text." says Karen Reybier.

The Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, Interlaken can look back on a long and eventful history.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, it was fashionable for young upper class men, to embark on a voyage of discovery across Europe after completing their education. Switzerland was, of course, part of the itinerary, in particular the Lake Geneva region, the Bernese Oberland and Central Switzerland. To this day, the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel continues to draw luxury travelers wishing to have a taste of "the golden age" of Swiss tourism. Wandering in its beautiful corridors, it is easy for anyone to imagine such eminent guests as Mark Twain or the Emperor of Brazil relaxing in style on the hotel‘s pillared terrace.

Swiss hospitality has been at home here since the hotel welcomed its first guests in 1865. The Victoria-Jungfrau offered standards of quality and comfort unparalleled at that time, including such innovative features as a telephone system, hydraulic lift and electric light in all rooms.

A mix of tradition and innovations, "belle Ă©poque" and modernity, serving an intricate passion for perfection: https://bit.ly/3MzrloV
