Imagine you arrive in a remote destination after a long journey , tired and a little foggy-headed. That is exactly the time you need a helping hand to float you through to your waiting car. That is the treatment I received upon arrival in , . While my greeters retrieved my luggage, I relaxed in a comfortable lounge, enjoying a snack and a freshly brewed coffee—an excellent start to my journey. From there, I spent a day at Uga Riva in nearby Negombo, where I had time to unwind and soak in the atmosphere of the former Colonial estate. The highlight of the evening was a fantastic BBQ dinner, featuring beautifully grilled meats and fresh local flavors, setting the tone for an incredible journey ahead.

Dispatch from Sri Lanka:

After first visiting my daughter and her husband at the home and cinnamon farm they created in the southern end of the island, I then immersed in an Ayryuvedic retreat. Now completely renewed I am headed north along the coast road, taking in both beauty and rebuilding and land rejuvenation with still remnants the remind one of the devastating tsunami that so impacted the region. I now have the pleasure of joining a few other Travel Advisors to explore this island nation’s we travel in a circle of sorts.
