Choosing which country to visit comes with a lot of research and variables to consider such as safety, budget, and culture. Here are Top 3 reasons the Philippines is perfect for you:
1. You speak English.
For travelers who are more comfortable traveling to English speaking countries, Philippines is right for you. English is an official language in the Philippines and though not everyone speaks fluently, most can understand and hold full conversations.
2. You are traveling on a tight budget.
Don’t get me wrong, flight tickets to the Philippines can get expensive considering how far it is from the US. However, this will be the most expensive thing you will need to buy. Once you are in the country, a dollar will go a long way- especially in local regions far from tourist traps. I remember getting a fresh coconut for less than a dollar and a haircut at the local market for less than $5.
3. You want a cultural experience.
This is something all countries can offer. What makes Philippines stand out for me is the friendliness of the locals and their efforts to help travelers experience the Filipino culture. Learn a sentence in Tagalog and you might find yourself the town’s new favorite Kuya, Ate, or Anak.
