Those of us travelling from Wales, we were thinking about getting a minibus to and from the airport.

The bus would be travelling from Mach, via Wrexham (ish). Please can you let me know if this might be of interest and we can look at prices and see if it’s worth considering.

Change of plan re balloon payment! The supplier says they will now invoice me approx 2 weeks before travel! So no cash for balloon required on arrival.

Ok folks, re luggage.

I spoke to the supplier and it was advised that our luggage is travelling with us in the same vehicle from one lodge to the next.

Soft bags are always much better than hard-shelled suitcases, due to limited space and poor road conditions that make hard suitcases bounce a lot more than (soft) travel bags.

I will be bringing a medium sized rucksack, after a couple of trips to Africa and always bringing too much, I'm determined to pack light!

I think I might carry my camera in my hand luggage though so I can keep it safe...

OK, bear with this guy, for the first two tips I wanted to strangle him, but the rest of the video is quite informative and shares some good knowledge - eg the scarf for the dusty roads, and tipping etiquette is quite handy.

I should add, we can expect showers with hot water! But yes, get used to the idea of having to squat behind the jeep for a wee during the day, unless you have outstanding bladder control! 🫣

Hi everyone. I've had confirmation from our accommodation this morning that the plug sockets used there are the UK three pin sockets, so those of us from the UK shouldn't need an adaptor.

I will bring a type D adaptor with me (I have one anyway) so we will have back up just in case.
