We boarded the high speed train to Madrid and were there before we knew it. A 7 hour car trip, was a 2 1/2 hour train ride. The speed topped at 290km/hour! Quick bus tour and stop at the Royal Palace, then a walking tour and amazing dinner. Madrid is amazing!

A longer bus ride today to The Alhambra that was well worth it. The intricacies of the floors, walls and ceilings in this ancient palace and fortress complex left me absolutely breathless. What an incredible experience that the pictures do not do justice. Then off for an afternoon in Granada to browse shops and eat some delicious food. Our last night in this great city by the Mediterranean Sea, Fuengirola.

Packing has commenced for my next Travel Agent trip. This one I am so excited about. I am joining other Advisors on a Collette tour to experience Spain. I have never done a guided tour before so I am looking forward to having some first hand knowledge for anyone also interested in this travel style. Collette comes with over 100 years of experience so I feel very confident I will love it!

Our morning consisted of an amazing (but a little cold) walking tour of Niagara Falls. So much history and stories affiliated with them. One of the things we toured was behind the falls. Beneath Niagara Falls, there’s a set of tunnels built over 100 years ago as part of the old power station. They were carved by hand to help generate electricity from the falls. Today, you can walk through them and feel the history, with the roar of the falls above, and get a sense of how people harnessed the power of nature back then. So incredible! I learned so much more on the walking tour that I never would have if I was on my own.
