Our inaugural retreat for the relaunch of AOM is a transformative 1-6 week Karma Yoga Retreat on a beautiful 300 year old finca in Ibiza Spain.

Participants will practice yoga, immerse themselves in selfless action supporting the farm and the community while having the time to disconnect from the world and reconnect to nature, to the soul, and to each other.

The retreat runs ongoing from 1st Nov to 18 Dec 2021 and is limited to 8 participants at a time.

Benefits of Breath Practices
Pranayama is the ancient practice of expanding (prana) life force through your breath. By adjusting the timing, duration, frequency and retention of the breath, pranayama helps connect body and mind; it supplies the body with oxygen while removing toxins; it calms the nervous system which improves our stress response; and it increases oxygen to the vital organs increasing brain nervous system and lung function. The benefits of breathing practices are multiple and varied, and are a perfect tool for dealing with these stressful times. Let's come together and breathe through this together.

While AOM YOGA works exclusively with experienced instructors, the ideal instruction of pranayama would be carried out face to face so that the teacher can adapt the practice for your specific needs or situation. In certain circumstances people with health conditions should not carry out certain more advanced breathing techniques. In general, these sessions are aimed at beginner/initiation level and should not be cause for concern. : First Karma Yoga Class from AOM YOGA.

Karma yoga is based on the ‘Yoga of Action.’ To practice Karma yoga one must step off the mat, serve community and be a part of something bigger than themselves.

Karma Yoga at AOM YOGA is an exchange between the teachers and student collective. At AOM YOGA we recognise that yoga has not been accessible for Black people or people of color and that the appropriation and colonisation of yoga by White people has dominated the ‘yoga industry’ in the west.

Karma Yoga will always be free for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color). White yoga students are requested to make a donation to AOM YOGA or to a project/charity that we are supporting.

Why do White People need to make a donation? Reparations.
